Mollys in Cambrigde - Kullman - 10-14-2008 Some days ago i was trading in Cambrigde. When i left the trade lane to dock to the planet i saw three molly ships standing very near to the planet docking ring, which is a bretonia armed forces planet. They were stopping all human traders than arrived to Cambrigde and threating them. I think this is out of RP, cause it's impossible than two or three rogue pilots of molly stay for long around a bretonia armed forces planet, which is quite near from a armed forces battleship. The tag was [MR] Molly Republic. I asked them to leave the planet vicinities , but they answered they were inside RP rules, cause they were in bretonia space, and refused to leave. Mollys in Cambrigde - Zelot - 10-14-2008 As long as the NPC's were hostile to them I dont really see a problem. Mollys in Cambrigde - Kullman - 10-14-2008 The problem is that that's not real... as it's no real a Corsair ship in Manhattan threating traders there, if there isn't armed forces there. This is not SP.... Mollys in Cambrigde - Ash - 10-14-2008 Ignoring is a good technique to use when somthing like this pops up and let them deal with the consequences if the Admins find it OORP. I also met up with this rabble-rousing bunch as well. fairly well blockaded the planet, had both sides of tradelanes shut down. But they WERE away from the planet, not sitting right on top of it. They may have followed you there, but most of the time they went right back to the lane. But i don't recall (and i could very well be wrong here) ever seeing a Molly NPC in Cambridge however. My thought was they were limited to Dublin, New London, and Leeds. Mollys in Cambrigde - Orin - 10-14-2008 There's nothing wrong here, bud. If the NPCs were hostile to them, everything is fit and dandy. If you're complaining that they shouldn't be able to mantain orbit, your argument is a pretty weak one. NPCs aren't protectors, players are. Mollys in Cambrigde - BaconSoda - 10-14-2008 Well, this is all a matter of perspective. To me, and obviously to you, I think that disrupting the trade lane is not only better RP, but is also safer, but to them, and quite obviously Zelot and Orin, it was fine by RP standards, since a show of force is not always a bad thing. Overall, this is a little trial-by-forumish, and there was really nothing anyone can do about it, especially since what's done is done, but also because they really didn't do anything wrong. Sorry, mate. Mollys in Cambrigde - Kullman - 10-14-2008 So if there isn't enough players to protect Malta a corsair can go to malta and stay orbiting the outcast base.... Quite strange isn't it? The rules are for trying to avoid strange things like that. Mollys in Cambrigde - Orin - 10-14-2008 I'm not peachy with planet <strike>camping</strike> blockades in all circumstances, but it's an extremely volatile subject. Let it die, because it's not actually against the rules. Just might seem to be bad RP to some. Mollys in Cambrigde - jammi - 10-14-2008 Have you ever seen a time where there haven't been enough Outasts to defend Malta? ... Anyway, they're completely in their rights to do it, but planet camping is generaly frowned upon and seen as unsporting. EDIT: Orin beat me to it |
