Disruptors - JohnyWalker - 06-16-2015 With the new implementation of Cloak Disruptors... I think the Cruise Disruptors not should stop a ship of cloaking, for that it should be used Cloak Disruptors, also for already cloaked ships. Already are ships with 2 slots for Disruptors, so... they can mount Cloak Disruptors for messing with cloak and Cruise disruptors for messing with cruise engines. No sense a Cruise Disruptor messing with cloak... Others have only 1 so, you should think what do you will need, and others have nothing... there is no reason for mix them, not fair at all i guess. It is the same thing to say, a mine can stop cruises and cloak... no sense. What do you think about this? RE: Disruptors - Epo - 06-16-2015 I agree with you, but (as Alley told) it will happen when Cloak Disruptors reach Sirius. And I hope it will happen soon ![]() - Light mountable only on LFs/HFs/VHFs - Heavy mountable only on Bombers/Caps Light one can only disrupt snub cloaks and heavy is used to disrupting bigger targets. Cuz it's hilarious for me if small and weak light fighter will be able to hold the big and fat battleship. Well, maybe I'm mad, but I like if game is realistic RE: Disruptors - Swifty - 06-17-2015 Are you done? ![]() RE: Disruptors - JohnyWalker - 06-17-2015 (06-16-2015, 08:43 PM)Catherfield Wrote: I agree with you, but (as Alley told) it will happen when Cloak Disruptors reach Sirius. And I hope it will happen soon Yeah, i like the idea! but maybe its a bit dificult to separate them... in this case, maybe the Cloak Disruptor would be able to avoid cloaking for some seconds, depending of the powerplant. For example, low powerplant ships shooting cloak disruptors, will avoid cloaking for 20 or 30 seconds... more powerplant, maybe around 50-80 seconds... and so on.... more powerplant, more time needed for start cloaking again. Something similar for Cruise Engines, you need to wait some seconds for reengage cruises. Its just an idea... And I hope it will happen soon Non-sense. There's no reason that smaller shiups shouldn't be allowed to disrupt larger ships. If they are intent to splitting the cloak disruptors like that, then they need to at least add en extra disruptor slot to LFs to enable them to play their interceptor role. Also if you're looking for realism, cloak disruptors would be roughly equivalent to Electronic Warfare planes today; many planes with such capabilities today are roughly the size of fighters. RE: Disruptors - Epo - 06-17-2015 Just it's kinda irrealistic when small LF/VHF disrupts massive engines of battleship. They're haevy, and their engines are heavily protected. Or at least should be RE: Disruptors - Connor - 06-17-2015 CDs should continue to to stop cloaks from being able to cloak. RE: Disruptors - Lord Caedus - 06-18-2015 Yeah, the new Cloak Disruptors are meant to be used on ships that are already cloaked, they have two entirely different functions. RE: Disruptors - JohnyWalker - 06-18-2015 Nah... Cruise Engine is one thing and Cloak Device is another totally diferent. With the new Cloak Disruptors, Cruise Disruptors should have no effect in Cloak... that mixture just improve (again) all unlawfuls capabilities. They are already too much improved... those small fighters, too much speed, with 2 Cruise diruptors slots, with torpedoes, missiles.... what more do you want? Cruise Disruptors, for cruises Cloak Disruptors, for cloaks... easy than that.... that will be more balanced. Double effect in CD's is abusive i guess RE: Disruptors - Epo - 06-18-2015 No 2:1 Yes Cl.D. should disrupt both cloaking and cloaked ships CD should disrupt only cruise engines and neutralise mines It's just the logic. Both things are made using different technology. Both cloaks and cruise engines are completely different, at least inRP. Small bolt which wants to overload Cruise Engines shouldn't affect the Cloaking Devices |
