Heyhey!
Title has it: field drain is co-responsible for the low player count.
All the ore-driven player-built infrastructure has ceased to work.
No one is filling ore bases any more (would be unfair to the other users of the fields).
Without ore available on bases, many traders do not even log.
No one is calling large mining operations.
No one cares to even log to mine.
The ones who log (and hit a dry field) log off again.
I think that the negative impact of field drain is hugely underestimated.
Please, fix it because it actually does hurt Disco.

Whilst I won't pin it on being the primary cause, he is right nonetheless. It's definitely a contributing factor to lack of players.

The fact that it was accidentally reactivated to begin with was bewildering, but that it hasn't been fixed after....months?
I don't understand. This should be top priority, it's a serious issue.

For what its worth, I have been seeing a whole lot less of any miners in the Taus as of late.
I wouldn't go so far as to say that its the primary reason for the server's decline in population as of late (exams and the Terraria update are also major factors) But it certainly isn't helping.
Disco needs all the help it can get with our server population; Jacky may have a point here.
