Cloak problem - Dark_Predator - 07-03-2015
So I want to say about some problems with a cloaking device. First time I saw it right now. I'm turning on cloak mode, sheild is going down, fuel is dropping, but my ship is not cloaked and all weapons are working. Another time, I turned on cloak and all was fine. Next time it's not working. Please take care about it.

Cloaking device off, but for all this time when fuel was dropping and should be in cloak, I was just without a sheild

You keep mentioning Fuel.
You do know that Cloaks require Batteries and not Fuel, now?

Well you should know that if I don't have Battaries for cloak, when I'm trying to activate it I'll see a message "No fuel to activate cloak", something like that. So of course I had cloak battaries.
And if you will read again my message - sometimes it works, sometimes no. At the last 3 month I didn't have any problems with a cloak and today I catched this one..I hope that developers will fix it.

Now, now, no need to be mean to each other, have you tried using the cloak on a different ship than that one?

Only explanation is that the Dev Team / Alley have altered the burn rate on the fuel used to power snub cloaks. Before it would eat 8 cloak batteries a second and take 11 secs before the snub cloak would activate, therefore if you have 1000 cloak batteries. 88 cloak Batteries are used before the snub cloak activates leaving 912 batteries to fuel the snub cloak which will continue you to eat them at a rate of 8 / sec.
This in total sums to a snub cloak giving you 2 minutes of cloak time before the fuel runs out.
If your saying after 25 secs the ship runs out of fuel then either you dont have 1000 batteries in your ship or the dev team have altered the burn rate on snub cloaks.

I just tested it and snub cloak has 2 minutes cloak time with 1000 batteries so I think you just didnt have enough fuel in your ship

not really. I said already that sometimes it works well. I always had enough battaries, read what I wrote before - if you will not have enough battaries server will show you that you don't have enough battaries to use cloak! I checked battaries for many times and it was enough for cloaking.
And sometimes cloak is writing that it is activated, battaries are dropping, sheild is off, but I'm not cloaked. I tested it many times and this bug happens 3/10 times.

Then take the cloak and stick it on a different ship maybe a vanilla one like eagle and test it again!

Well I have cloaks on all my snubs and if it works on other vessels it doen't means that this bug shouldn't be fixed, you don't think so?

Nobody said that it shouldn't be fixed, what he is saying is to test it on other ships, which you said you have, so provide more information with what ship and ID you're getting this issue on.
