i want to make a suggestion

Location: Barrier Gate Station
ID: Pirate
IFF: Independet Pirate
Char Uniform: Order, Corsair, BloodDragon

to me this would be cool as the ID and IFF would correct right from the start

Or.

You can restart as freelancer. Get the ID and type the pirate IFF command.

yea
but...

the uniform is not cool Tongue
and it would replace the /pirate command and set everything from the start

You can restart as any pirate faction and get the pirate ID from any of the nearest Zoner, FL or Junker bases.......

yea but that messes up the IFF totally as Pirate ID doesnt rephack that much

the idea is to make it easier for newcomers to get a pirate and the right IFF
to me it sounds ok and right i hope it will come

I agree that there should/could be a generic restart, just as for miner ID and the sector-oriented Freelancer/Civilian ones. But what are you talking about? "Messing up IFF", "Pirate ID doesn't rephack much"? Wat?

It think having Freelancer ID and Pirate IFF can bring some chaos as well, hence you could be taken by a pirate in lawful areas, while you are just... bad Freelancer.

And for your information, Pirate ID rephacks your pretty hard. It rephacks you red to all lawfuls and certain double-status factions, such as Council or Kusari Exiles (since both are, de facto, lawful factions). Hogosha and Farmer Alliance, SCRA and some other are also rephacked hostile to Pirate ID.

I think he is reffering to the fact that if you do a /restart LH for example, iut'll make you hostile to every enemy of the hackers, and then the Pirate ID doesn't change that, so you'll be hostile to half of the pirate factions of sirius instead of no-dock or something.

Pirate ID rephacks everything upon undocking with it and it cannot be reversed (even if you pay bribe). You can always change the ID and pay tens of millions to regain the rep around - but then, it is cheaper and faster to just make a new character.

This is why there was a rather huge disagreement between players who wanted to force Pirate IFF onto Pirate ID, because Pirate ID having Freelancer IFF is the only thing that makes Pirate ID useful (aside of no ZOI - but then, Outcasts offer almost the same range and better stuff). There is no tech-cell they have access to, moreover, there is 90% nerf on certain ships that are said to be "generic".
