Windows 10 and Freelancer - Plan-B - 07-30-2015
short Version: - it works -
many ppl asked me if our beloved FL will work with Win 10 - since yesterday the official and free upgrades are released - and the 1st Computers were updated - i only can say i did expect more Trouble - but nothing!
well after upgrading win 7 or 8 to Version 10 - all went fine and all looked ok - starting the DSLauncher - i first got a heard attack when the message appered "to Launch this program direct Play is needed - click to install" but i clicked install - 1 Minute later game started.
Resolution - ok
Sound - ok
switching the id's by using reg files - ok
DS account Manager - ok
so if you Need to upgrade to win 10 - no fear FL will work

Thats actually really good to hear considering I was planning to upgrade to win 10 but freelancer specifically made me not want to, ill go be installing that now probably, (:

Window 10 is free because that's how the corporation tracks all of your personal information now.

If you don't have proof that even the most sceptical person will believe, then don't post rumors please.
Windows 10 may or may NOT be the OS I upgrade to next..... all the way from XP(SP3), but before I do, I want to know as much as possible about it.
The people here who actually use it *will* be giving their opinions of it, probably in this thread and hopefully there will be people who I have 'known' from this board for a long while posting.
There are another group of people I will be getting info from on Win 10 as well, that play games even OLDER than Freelancer and I trust many of them even more as I have known some of them for over 10 years.

You mean Cortana? Oddly enough, I already have Cortana on my Nokia Lumia (Windows Phone 8.1).
I have it, but I haven't activated it yet as it requires an internet connection and I don't turn that on with my phone unless I really need to.
