Saw and old Star Conflict thread - Adam_Spire - 08-12-2015 I read the 2012 thread, looked at the game, still not sure what to make of it. I'm not fully into PVP but the issue stated was that is was a heavy pvp game. Has anything changed in the last 3 years? Is it any good asside from graphics and engine? RE: Saw and old Star Conflict thread - Goldberg - 08-12-2015 Played it a week ago, the engine is still the same, new graphics i think not, but it looks good for a f2p game. And yes it's still a heavy pvp game. It looks like its just a pvp sandbox scenario space sim. No exploring no economy outside blowing things up. Almost like a space version of Mech Warrior On line. RE: Saw and old Star Conflict thread - WesternPeregrine - 08-12-2015 Although they have added a galaxy map mode that serves as a half pve mode, half factional warfare mode I believe. The arena pvp mode is still available. Last played about 6 months ago or something. It's a arcade game. Sighs....ok I'll stay here. *goes back to play Gorf* RE: Saw and old Star Conflict thread - SnakeLancerHaven - 08-12-2015 Open Space was added, new PvE missions, weekly Tournaments, Playable dreadnoughts (but only access with a Corporation), the Conquest mode was added into Open Space, each corporations have their own System and if they built an own Dreadnought flying around there (yes Dreads can also be used in open space). So the Corporation wars now happen in Open Space. Some new Guns, system loadouts, guns, Missions = PvE/PvP/Open Space. YEs, exploring was added since there are Aliens now after 3 years of Development "invasion", so fighitng alien threats yada yada. Alien Home Worlds to explore, collect goods and sell them, yea well pretty much alot new has been added, but with pros and cons. New Systems, new Stations to dock and it's still increasing like that. The beam weapons remind me of MW3 a lot and I wish they would have made freelancer 2.....more now than ever. RE: Saw and old Star Conflict thread - SnakeLancerHaven - 08-12-2015 of course Adam, that's why we still play Discovery
RE: Saw and old Star Conflict thread - Adam_Spire - 08-12-2015 That it is, sir, that it is. |
