"(...) I will make him pay for his crimes on the Volk." - Wulthus - 08-19-2015 Pacifica base, somewhere in Bering System. "Ze bahr iz clozed, move avay". These were the warm words, with which bouncers, both armed to teeth, greeted everyone today. Well ... obviously everyone except those whose surnames the guest list bore, which consisted of every high ranking individual within the local cell of Unioner movement. This event was not a surprise. In fact, It was greatly anticipated... Strange things happened past those few weeks, and strange things are bad for business (and for the cause, natürlich!). Any sign of someone taking steps to restore the normalcy were welcome, even if this means that proud Arbeiters of the Union will be forced to chill out in cold, coarse and completely unsuited hangar space. ![]() An eerie silence reigned inside the bar. No music was playing. None of the fourteen guests dared to speak loudly. The only audible sounds where whispers and the rotation of three old, rusty ventilation fans. Not a single sound from the outside could be heard. It seemed like the whole station froze, awaiting what will happen next. Specially designed window covers were fully extended, thus even space dust knew that whatever the subject of this meeting was, the whole matter was confidential. On the bar's walls were hanging 5 long, red banners, presenting the black embroidered Unioner insignia: raised hand holding a hammer, limited by frame in shape of a gearwheel. Reddish bar light shined on the cigarette smoke present in the whole room, giving it a menacing look. ![]() Different expressions were shaping on the guests' faces. Some of them seemed nervous. Some absent, buried in their thoughts far away from this place. Some were looking at the rest, slightly disappointed. Few individuals didn't show any emotions at all, simply starring at the center of the pragmatic meeting room. Every one of them had one thought in common. Whatever was happening here, it was taken seriously. "- Looks like everybody's here..." Said someone sitting close to the centre, putting out intensifying whispers. "Let's get on with it then." A short haried man of average posture, wearing an old, sawn Military pilot uniform stood up. "As a start, allow me to remind you of ze puporse of this meeting... Our sources confirmed that Alexander Lafferentz, fellow arbeiter and soldat of ze Union, was kidnaped by ze Order..." Said, trying his best to sound official with his strong Sudenstuttgardich accent. -"Zhomething must be done about it!" He added, seeing that the audience was confused wether to start speaking, or not. -"Rotten Hessen!" Said someone at the end of the room. "Hessen are still our allies, and have strong ties with the Order. They MUST know what the hell happened! They are the only lead we have anyway..." -"Dummkopf! What the Kanzler makes you think that Hessen would back us up in this case? I bet they had something to do with this, don't you remember they had a tea party together few days ago?! By the way, it is not about figuring out what happened! We know what happened! Fotzorder ding donged one of our guys in front of our noses!!! What's wrong with you? Hessen this, Hessen that. Are you in love or something? I bet you guys meet up for some..." -"Schwartzstein, shut up alredy!" Said another man in the room. To be honest, I don't get what's the fuss with Lafferentz, we can get thousand of guys like him in his place, all we need is a big bomb at the Alster..." -It is not about numbers! It's about dignity!!! Everyone who dares to treat rheinlandich arbeiter like a rag must suffer! To steal one of our members in our space?! Someone is laughing at us in our faces!!! Spoke the Schwartzstein again, this time winning the approval of the others. An older man, wearing standard unioner uniform enriched by golden hammer in a cogwheel insignia pinned to the shirt, stood up. -"We know that Bundschuh cooperate with the Order as well." He stated. "And we know that the Order recently started to use Bruchsal as their field base of operations in our land. It must have been something for something, right?" Elder made a pause here and started looking at faces of others hoping for a shade of shrewdness, indicating that someone here can actually connect dots and see a picture. Disappointed, he had to start explaining. -"It was a deal, Dumme! The order gained access to Bruchsal for getting Lafferentz off the scene! Scheisseschuh want to remove our presence from Frankfurt. They want to scare us! They know we would never dare to growl at the Order!" -"What if it's a provocation?! Someone knows about our weakened relations with The Order and whoever he is, he is trying to weaken Unioners by draging us into another pointless conflict!" Dared to say someone at the end of the bar. "Bundschuh and Hessians cooperating with The Order?! Using them as mercenaries to keep us down?! This is utter bullsheisse!!! What kind of "reliable sources" are you talking about anyway, we should..." "-...BURN THE BRUCHSAL!!!" Someone interrupted him, and the group greeted this words with great and long cheering. -"SILIENCE!!!" This word belonged to a tall, muscular, medium hared individual, wearing something that resembled a Corsair uniform with a ribbon. On a ribbon, small skull shaped ornaments were pinned on it's whole length. His voice was slow and deep, carrying a message of large deopsits of inner strength and confidence in this individual. Whoever he was, it was an important figure, as the whole group seem to have obeyed his order. -"You throw sheisse at the Bundschuh, but you are very same as them. Babbling, instead of getting things done..." He continued. "I don't know how about you, but I am not afraid to growl at The Order, or anyone else who dares to threaten the Volk of Rheinland. Listen to me closely as I won't repeat myself. I, Bjorn Augsberger will take care of this matter once and for all. I will find Alexander Lafferentz and if he was kidnapped, I will bring him safely back home..." Someone was about to stood up, as if tried to say something, but Bjorn just ordered him with a hand gesture to sit down, without even looking at the individual, and continued. "If he died, I will make him a burial every soldat of the Union deserves... and if he was a traitor and defected, I will make him pay for his crimes on the Volk." Group seemed confused as it heard the last sentence, but started cheering again anyway. The plan has been developed, and the meeting was officially over. Some time later, a general alarm on the station sounded. The announcer ordered all the personnel to muster in the hangar area... |
