Point defence system ? - Scar - 08-21-2015 Ok this is just an idea that came in my mind after playing some Fractured space, dont eat me alive. In that game there is a point defence system, when some enemy fighters or a missile salvo is coming, you could activate it for some seconds and the ship will fire with small and limited range gun for destroying them. Is technycally possible to something like that on freelancer? Like giving battleship lets say ten class2 or class4 turrets that fire autonomously like npc stations. This would even make them find a role on the battlefield lol RE: Point defence system ? - jammi - 08-21-2015 Starworlds figured out how to make automatic point defence turrets work, but they're not exactly amicable to the idea of sharing. RE: Point defence system ? - sindroms - 08-21-2015 So basically. Sacrifice 3-4 slots to a new kind of flak cannon. Make said flak turret forced direction. Bind them to a separate weapon group. Bind firing that weapon group to a different key altogether. If you see novas incoming, press said button to make flak shoot to all sides. But you can pretty much do that with what we have now. |
