Something that many traders might not be aware of is the fact that the generic 'trader ID' (which more or less everyone except RepEx uses) is disappearing in version 4.85 . If you want to continue using the largest category of trading ships (Adv. Train, Whale, Heavy Tanker) then you'll need to buy a trading faction ID such as Gateway, Republican and so on. This is because the independent/large ZOI IDs such as Zoner are limited to 3600 cargo - so you'll have to pick a trading corporation with a more limited ZOI.

Now of course this isn't worth doing until 4.85 is out and we see what trade routes are available. Picking a Bretonian trading corporation, for example, would turn out to be a pretty daft idea if most of 4.85's "multi stop" trade routes turn out to go through Kusari. Just bear in mind that you'll need to buy a faction ID, and fix your rep appropriately (no more Police tag!) once 4.85 comes out.

This is just going to be a major pain..
Would be busy changing things if the server would actually let people log in though.

Especially with the new 'multi stop' trade routes. I mean for example with the current trading setup removing the trader ID wouldn't be a big deal - you just pick a corporation ID from the place where you do your trading - but trying to find an ID that can complete these extended trading runs (especially as the likes of Liberty lawfuls apparently have carte blanche to impose additional restrictions on properly RP'd traders) is going to be troublesome.

Keep in mind that when they made the trade routes, they made them so all house courperation's have at least one rout they can do, and the routs will be mostly the same profit wise.

Honestly, stop whining, its not going to be that bad.

EDIT: At least logic would dictate this being true.

Yeah folks, this isn't such a bad thing (from the guy that doesn't have to trade and has already ditched all his capital ships)! It's just trying to make more people take on a role, instead of just silently power trading.

MMm...Interspace still seems like a good pick though...limited to house systems I'm guessing?
