Missing text/localisation for all the mod's infocards - TheAngryBarrel - 11-26-2015
As it says in the title, none of the infocards added by the mod have any text. All new commodities, ships and equipment show as "IDS?".
I installed the 4.88.1 version of the mod just fine, using a vanilla Freelancer installation. Then I ran the DSSelfPatch exe, the one with the doge icon. Then I ran the DSLauncher.exe as administrator, let it download some stuff and unzip it, and then launched the game.
Since I ran into this problem, I searched this forum and Google for answers. All I could find were suggestions to uninstall the mod and game, clean the registries, then install them again. So that's what I did. Multiple times. I used CCleaner to clean the registries after uninstalling everything. I tried installing vanilla Freelancer in C:\Users\*username*\Freelancer, and the mod in its default location in Appdata. Still no luck. I tried redownloading the mod and repeating those steps multiple times (I've been doing so with qbittorrent from the start). And still the problem persists.
Far as I can figure, it's a problem with the infocards.dll, but it's always in the exe folder where it should be, and its timestamp suggests it's updated by the launcher every time, so I can't tell what the problem with it is.
Please help! I really don't want to give up on this mod. For the record, I'm running Windows 8.1 64-bit.

Try to turn off your Anti-Virus, then install FL and MOD again.

It's worked! Blasted BitDefender! I don't know why I didn't uninstall it the moment I took over this laptop.
