It would be a year since I wrote this post, I was just starting back then, but I spent all this time dealing with a bad life and a series of misfortunes, so I never logged for ten months. I managed to install Disco again on my new OS and found myself with a Behemoth, with a DHC ID.
Basically I'm in the same situation than before: Alone, trading (until someone stopped me and said it was wrong hauling military vehicles inside Bretonia space, being DHC - and that just after I got robbed). Then I watched as my robber appeared again in front of a whole pocket of military bretonian ships, including a capital one, and it looked like they didn't even scratched him.
I made the dumb mistake of exiting two skype channels I was in back in January, so I'm cut off the rest of the game and faction. Maybe this just isn't for me? I mean, I feel like I'm too dumb to have fun in this, maybe it's insecurity, I don't know. I looked for some friends I know to play it with me, but no luck, and if I'm too noob for this, imagine having me to teach.
My case is probably hopeless, but I'll leave this here anyway. Thank's for the attention some gave to me back then and sorry for being too dumb.

Normally, i wouldn't give it much attention to theads like this one. But in this case, i've been there myself, but that didn't really made me give up on my fun. I just kept playing my own game, cause let's be honest, "a friend to play with" doesn't appear over night, you just have to give it time.
Then again, that's me. If you still want to play with someone every now and then, add me on skype (inferno.mushroom) and give me your time zone or something. I'm sure there will be things to do, other than trading and getting pirated.
Now if you will excuse me, it's 3:26 am and i need to sleep. Cya on skype or...wherever.

And nah man, dont feel that down on yourself!
Hope whatever it is that's got you down will get better though. Having someone to talk to even if its not about the issue always helps a little at least.

Another solution could be to join {B} were a Gallic faction that could use new members to help up the GRN playerbase. I'll fly with you should you enter either of these factions.

IMG| is seeing a resurgence in activity as well, so you can sign on with them too/instead.

Join IMG|. Add me on Skype (see my Forum Profile). We teach people in how to get into the game, help with first steps and we try to fly together (and teach roleplay and ID stuff that way). In general, we try to not leave new players "just hanging there". Add me. Normally situations are not hopeless when a player can write a post like you did.
If after a few coop flights you still find that this is not for you, you have at least tried. *shrugs*
