Server Rollback Woes - Jazzi - 12-29-2015
Good Afternoon chaps,
I am in a spot of bother and I am hoping someone will be able to help me. I am at a point where I would like to be requesting an SRP for one of my characters. However, with the rollback, I have lost a lot of the material and story that would support the SRP - and now the only source I can submit is confirmation from various other players who were involved which I'm sure would not be enough.I have looked on the announcement thread for the rollback, but sadly finding the pages through google and history did not work.
This is gutting as my heart and soul is in this character, is there any way to recover these posts and such? Even if it were not able to be reposted but used for the SRP I would be happy enough.

I suppose as a last ditch you can see if the caches still exist, just go to your history and look up the thread then copy its url and paste it into google search.
If a result comes up click the green down arrow next to the link then click cached.
Thats all I can offer you, the caches have most likely been updated and wiped but you can still try.

If you can pull your browser history and find the posts, you can copy+paste the link into google and select the little green arrow below the result and click "cached" to see if google has a copy of the page
The problem is: this was only really possible closer to the rollback-- I can't even begin to tell you how much I actually lost myself when the rollback happened-- and I'm still working on recovering it all and finding things that I thought I had done, but turns out got nuked :T Yer not alone in that camp.
If google doesn't have your back, poke some of the people involved and see about re-initiating things again if at all possible. Good luck buddy <3

Sadly, my cache has been updated and wiped since then so that method is a no-go.
Sad times, that was everything. Time to rebuild from the ashes.

I know the feeling, the whole forum downtime/rollback is part of the reason I been taking a break the last month or two as I lost a bit of motivation.

If you think SRP rollback is bad, think about the factions trying to go official.
To be honest, my Hidetaka Kojima roleplay went down a lot, since my RP had 15 of A4 pages, now it's barely 6, with a lot of info lost in the process. Oh well. You aren't alone, mate!

If you can give me some specific words to look for, I am willing to give it a try, but I need exact and specific words that would have been in the RP that are likely to be somewhat unusual. Character names would be excellent, for example.
