Simple advice please, best loadout for a Sabre in a snubfight, including shield etc.

Use whatever refire is best for you, also sabre should have 3 debs if you're rolling with faster refire guns.

Pretty much this, more experienced PvPers can deal with 2 debs and 5 hullbusters, but everyone and his loadout.
Shield is pretty much dependent on the region/factions you're against.

You can try full hullbusters (4.0 ,3.0 or 2.0) and a torpedo if you can TS (my setup is IJKL for turning, V - ekill, B - thrust, N - reverse, UO - roll, and ; or , or something that is near to L for torpedo launch).

Try combining 3 shieldbusters with hullbusters + a starkiller torp and, optionally, a sidewinder.
Torps are good to take out people who have no idea what they are doing.
Or to rip your own guns off.

2 debs mk1, 5 purple goddesses. Shields are situational, depending on what type of guns will your opponent be using, but in general the graviton one is the most used.
