Server client version issue - Aeron Chavez - 01-22-2016

Good day
I have installed the mod and done all the updates from the launcher, when I start Freelancer it shows that Discovery mod is loaded and the version is 88 but when I go to the server list the server is running the same version but it shows it as red and I cant connect to it.

Can anyone maybe advise me what the problem could be.

Well believe it or not, but if the version is red then it means you don't have the same version.

Have you used the 4.88.1 installer? Consider a complete reinstall and update, perhaps something went wrong along the way.

Maybe try reinstalling it + freelancer. Don't skip reinstalling FL cuz disco needs fresh installation. If it doesn't help... Just let us know

Yes Ally. It shows me in-game that the version is 88 and I did install the 4.88.1 mod. Something may have gone wrong with the patching process within the launcher.

I'll take Epo's advice and do a fresh install of everything. Hope that works.

You can also disable your antivirus during the patching process, I remember that it was causing some probs for me in the past... I hope it will help

Ok so I reinstalled Freelancer to be a clean install.
re-downloaded the 4.88.1 mod from the link above, installed that.
launched the Discovery launcher and started the updates. On the second update it gives me the message "An error has occured while downloading one of the files. Please restart the Launcher to begin the process again." -
I have restarted the launcher 5 times now and the update fails 6.44 mb into the update every time.

Does anyone have an idea why it would be doing this?

I had to remove completely my antivirus to patch the game ^^ But try turning it off first

Edit : Nope. Still got the same message even with my antivirus off.
Is there another way to install the updates? Manually perhaps??

Ok. I downloaded all the updates from Kitty but update-4-88-1-9.zip and update-4-88-1-11.zip are corrupt.
Is there another source where i can download those 2 files?
