The Magellan Battle

Gallic Royal Navy vs Liberty Navy and Allies

Overview:

Date: Saturday, January 30th, 19:00 UTC

Location: Magellan, Sector E6

Premise:

Both sides took significant losses in the California fight. Gallic ships accomplished their goal, but paid a heavy price of multiple capital ships. Libertonians, also shaken by the fight, retreated for repairs. A few weeks passed now and Gallic vessels are getting reinforcements from the inside. They are expected to reach Magellan in about 1 week. Libertonians have to act quickly, gather allies and defend the system at all costs. A massive battle is about to emerge.

Participants:

GRN, LN, LSF, BAF, CR and their allies who have a reason to be there. A potential third side is possible (HF or Rogues/Outcasts) to balance the numbers, if needed.

Regulations:

1. No need to register. Just come. Bring anything.
2. No respawning. If you're killed, you're out. No returning to the battle again.
3. No running away from the active battlezone. That means no Freeport or Carcassonne hugging or running to the jumphole(s). This also includes cloaking or jumping away to resupply and returning back.

Because of my internet provider having a malfunction that affected ~30% of their customers and it's lasting for 2 days already, I don't have internet connection and most likely won't be able to come.
Therefore, @Karst will be the event host, any questions go to him.

Five posts, 328759432754 players showed up. I was somewhat surprised.

I think there were a bit too many on the LN/BAF side. It was fair at the beginning, but as usual in Disco, all sorts of caps and snubs began to flock to one side when it started winning.

I have switched to a Valor and I'm still there, and damaged. I'm going to claim victory for the King despite of what the LN/BAF have achieved, if no one comes to eat the candy.
