Independent systems question. - Maddox - 01-27-2016

Is there a list of independent systems anywhere?

I know that some that are classed as non house-space are owned (GMG, 'Sairs, Outcasts etc), so is there a definitive list of which systems are truly independent?

Cheers.

You might search for this.

Yeah, I saw that, but was a bit confused by the following:

Quote:ΤΩΣO
House Controlled Space: Omega-3, Tau-29, Tau-44, Orkney (Tau), Rishiri (Tau)
Taus Outer Region: Tau-23, Tau-31, Tau-37, Tau-39, Tau-65, Baffin, Lewis, Roussillon
Omegas Outer Region: Omega-5, Omega-7, Omega-9, Omega-11, Omega-41, Omega-47, Omega-49, Omega-54, Omega-55, Omega-58, Cayman, Saar
Sigmas Outer Region: All Sigma systems, Okinawa
Omicrons Outer Region: All Omicron systems

Indies are on the group above that:

Quote:Independent
House Controlled Space: Cortez, Hudson, Magellan
Outer Independents: Bering, Coronado, Drake, Galileo, Kepler, Humboldt, Inverness, Puerto Rico, Unknown, Vespucci

Is that an exhaustive list?

For example, Who lays claim to Omicron Lost, or Omicron 96? Who owns Tau 63 and Omega 50?

Cheers.

Server rules obviously have to contain an exhaustive list. If you are here for trolling, that won't work. Omicron-96, Tau-63 and Omega-50 don't exist, and there is nothing in Lost, why would anyone lay claim to it? In case you were serious, forget the wiki, majority of it is outdated.

All three of those systems are on the FL Companion universe map.

Perhaps I implied the wrong thing. Rather than "independent", I mean systems to which nobody has laid claim.

My bad.

Companion contains systems which were removed from the game. They physically exist in files (and thus companion detect them) but they are not to be counted as part of the game anymore.

If you want updated system list, try for example online navmap.

Regarding systems without claim - I don´t think there is much of them. Maybe Lost, but almost everywhere there is at least one entity which consider itself to be owner of the system, or consider it as their zone of influence where they are "top dog", which you either have to make agreement with or fight with (for example if you place POB there). So even systems in Taus, Omegas or Omicrons have someone which lay claim over them (formally or by habit), be it Outcasts, Corsairs, Hessians, Core, Wilde or Nomads.

You answered your own question, didn't you?

From the navmap Laura linked you can check a lot of bases, their owners, and can search for those factions in the forum, most of them have their own legal codex or law thing including what stuff they claimed for themselves, from that - or just from the distribution of bases of each faction in each system and region - you can easily find out the status quo.

Ok, thanks everyone.
