What if Freelancer had a mod to become - Fletcher - 11-05-2008
Think about it, what if Freelancer had a conversion to become a Real Time Strategy game where YOU are the faction leader, where you can manage the faction resources, patrols, construction, ships and diplomacy, and off course war.
I think it would be pretty cool, and would satisfy any dreams of Sirius wide conquest.:rolleyes:
Can you imagine THAT being in a multiplayer game, a player per house, a player per pirate faction, and off course a player for the Nomads.
Let the hell begin!

I remember a game called Hegemonia: Legions of Iron, which is a space-based RTS. Even used jumpholes to get from system to system. Pretty good game.

Yeah, I think Freelancer combined with RTS would be awesome. I do enjoy RTS games myself and seeing Freelancer and even StarWars (I think they are making a mod for that as well) would be great. It would need a lot of detail in my opinion to make it actually authentic... Just thinking of zooming into Manhattan with all of the "traffic" of the tradeships to the far off Omicrons with the Order and Nomads duking it out..

yea legions of Iron was alot like this but Sins would be a better game for it but the fighters would have to be made more important that they where in sins

I was creating a custom script map for Warcraft 3. The tiles are black space with lots of stars. I have 20% of the original models thou. i cant finish it. I reworked alliances and faction interaction based on discovery story.
