Pennsylvania Helium Drop Rate - Light - 03-20-2016 (EDIT: If you think it should be changed via moving the sell points for the Helium out of Liberty, vote on the poll for "We should just leave it as it is.") I for one have noticed that many players getting into the game have yet to even explore, and have really just been mining Helium, and I watch them do it for hours on end, and a multitude of them have battleships before even exploring the majority of the game. There should be a RP event where the majority of the Helium in the cloud has diminished due to excessive resource gathering, and drop it from about 20 (which I believe it is now) to around 5 or less. Then we introduce a new server event that might introduce these players to mine something else more profitable elsewhere, to try to liven up other areas of the map with potential people. I am just sharing my opinion on this as a good bunch of people here are just mining helium and having their friends capital ships purchased via helium guarding their friends mining helium. So I am opening up a poll to discuss this. Should we lower the drop rate to encourage players to find their way to new profits? Should we just change it little by little, and slowly encourage new mining by adding new server wide texts about it, or should we let them have their fun? At this point almost NOBODY goes to Gallia, other than to /restart for their ships. It could be an opportunity to get them to want to try something new. RE: Pennsylvania Helium Drop Rate - SnakThree - 03-20-2016 It should simply be so that it's more profitable to sell Helium outside Penny, rather than 15k away. RE: Pennsylvania Helium Drop Rate - Light - 03-20-2016 Hmmm, I should have added that to the poll as well. That is an easier option. But the Helium trade is very drawn out. Other things should be traded other than Helium, and its ease to mine relative to price is even higher. They should be led to places where mining is more dangerous etc for their profits, because at the moment mining Helium is extremely easy and efficient, enough for them to buy capital ships. Agreed RE: Pennsylvania Helium Drop Rate - Impyness - 03-20-2016 Just remove all the helium sellpoints inside liberty, possibly with the closest one being in kepler RE: Pennsylvania Helium Drop Rate - Monika Von Kirsch - 03-20-2016 My guess is Helium is a gas right so it should be dropped unless your in a ship designed for mining gas? Idk what I am talking about. ^^ this is why I only used one cent RE: Pennsylvania Helium Drop Rate - Light - 03-21-2016 (bump) RE: Pennsylvania Helium Drop Rate - Venkman - 03-21-2016 It is fine, leave it as it is. RE: Pennsylvania Helium Drop Rate - Major. - 03-21-2016 Wait, I can make billions with Helium mining, that's nice. Jk jk Well, I never really thought about this, but just remove the Liberty sell points and add one on Keplar. |
