A Change in Zoner Diplomacy? - Unlucky_Soul - 03-21-2016 Lets Discuss.... Should Zoners have an enemy apart from Nomads? RE: A Change in Zoner Diplomacy? - Shiki - 03-21-2016 Nope, 'cause Zoner diplomacy is the thing that making Zoners unique, don't you have enough factions for pews? RE: A Change in Zoner Diplomacy? - SnakThree - 03-21-2016 Zoners shouldn't be zoners. They should be Freelancers. RE: A Change in Zoner Diplomacy? - The Savage - 03-21-2016 This thread is so pointless I came back, voted no and to write this: Zoners are not an unified faction. RE: A Change in Zoner Diplomacy? - Moberg - 03-21-2016 If there would be one IFF or ID per Freeport, then this could be considered. However, with all Zoners except TAZ operating with the same ID under the same IFF, this can only lead to trouble. As an example, while Freeport 1 Zoners could definitely live with Outcasts being hostile to them, the very existence of Freeport 10 depends on good standing with Outcasts. Situations like this exist everywhere, so unless we give each Freeport their own ID and optionally IFF, there are going to be problems. Just leave the diplomacy of individual Zoners to themselves. RE: A Change in Zoner Diplomacy? - sindroms - 03-21-2016 Since in the past Zoner groups have been separate and united when it befits them, such a change might be nice. Neutrality is a silly notion, especially in a world like Freelancer, which has the mindset of medieval Europe and with the value of a human life being beneath that of a ship hauling goods. It would also give Zoner players a chance to dust off their ships. RE: A Change in Zoner Diplomacy? - Hannibal - 03-21-2016 it doesnt have to be a enemy we already know,since... @"LordVipex" already explained why it will not work it requires a new kind to be introduced...either human or alien(to be read as not furry or anime,or rock creatures ) RE: A Change in Zoner Diplomacy? - Reid - 03-21-2016 (03-21-2016, 10:39 AM)sindroms Wrote: Since in the past Zoner groups have been separate and united when it befits them, such a change might be nice. It smells like a smell that hasn't been smelled in a long time A smell that's been missing A smell that needs to happen again RE: A Change in Zoner Diplomacy? - Sombs - 03-21-2016 (03-21-2016, 10:39 AM)sindroms Wrote: It would also give Zoner players a chance to dust off their ships. Well, players are aware what faction they play. There are enough non-zoner-players out there. No one should be forced to have an enemy if the game provided this faction to be as it is. RE: A Change in Zoner Diplomacy? - The Savage - 03-21-2016 Let's be honest: If Zoners tried to attack any unlawful or lawful faction, the Freeport closest to harmed side would be erased with all inhabitants butchered like animals. Zoners became Zoners to avoid such situations. Think about it. |
