Lorraine to Omega minefield - driftwolf - 03-29-2016 The Omega-80 to Lorraine minefield entrance is at least marked with something that I can remember. The Lorraine to Omega-80 doesn't seem to be. Now, I realize that many people here are young and have eidetic memories, but some of us are getting on in years and don't have the memory we used to have. Combined with the complete inability of Freelancer to set permanent, personal waypoints in our navigation systems (something even BASIC GPS systems have today), I'm finding it hard to impossible to get back through the Lorrainne to Omega-80 jump hole, even though I've come out of it at least twice now. SO.... could someone either provide a useful reference point from which to calculate the entrance (something I can write down), or could an admin or something put a useful (meaning targetable) item somewhere at the entrance to that minefield. A minefield of closely spaced, completely indestructible, infinitely repeating mines that are invisible to all scanners. RE: Lorraine to Omega minefield - Skorak - 03-29-2016 I suggest you use this map: http://space.discoverygc.com/navmap/#Lorraine It shows you corridors through all kinds of fields. I was kind of looking for an in-RP means of doing so, but I guess I could always have purchased a very detailed map of Sirius. Is there a Michelin maps base? Not that I've found at this specific mine field. I could be wrong though. RE: Lorraine to Omega minefield - Regulus - 03-29-2016 for this minefield, it s a wreck, not a weapon platform RE: Lorraine to Omega minefield - Wixelt - 03-29-2016 I hate to be pedantic, but you meant Omicron 80, right? The Lorraine side I'm finding extraordinarily difficult without the aide of some obvious landmark and without the ability to put down a permanent waypoint. Or perhaps I've missed something, which is why I was asking. The remaining half of a wrecked container tank of a station. Where it floats, there is the entrance. |
