Some questions about POB - AHerasI - 04-06-2016 Greetings First: I have been searching for a while what rules the POB building, besides the local system laws, and I haven't found anything. I have asked to a player tagged as angel, and he directed me here to post this doubt, because he didn't know the response of the next questions: 1-Which distance a "POB" is obliged to maintain from a map object? (planets, jump holes, trade lanes, and such) 2-This is also applied to the station defenses? RE: Some questions about POB - Laz - 04-06-2016 (04-06-2016, 11:29 PM)AHerasI Wrote: Which distance a "POB" is obliged to maintain from a map object? (planets, jump holes, trade lanes, and such)The new rule is that a base cant upgrade past core 2 if it is within 15k of a Jumphole or Mining field if i am not mistaken. However the base your referring to is Puerto del Sol, Which is a Corsair base. It is quite hated for what it does. If you want to go through go through Theta then to Gamma. RE: Some questions about POB - Yak - 04-06-2016 Here you go: http://discoverygc.com/forums/showthread.php?tid=2334&pid=43794#pid43794 That post has all the server rules on POBs. Do take the Roleplay Laws into account when you're planning building as well though! Edit: Looks like the rules are a bit ambiguous about defense platforms, although strictly they are probably considered "part of the base", I would imagine. Quote:Here you go: Thanks for your responses. If it is a Corsair base, the base itself is infringin the Corsair Empire laws then. where can i ask for (or in rp-form denounce that)? I'm quite noob in this comunity. RE: Some questions about POB - Xenon - 04-07-2016 use the communication channel "forum section" and send to the Corsair Empire a transmission explaining all that RE: Some questions about POB - Yak - 04-07-2016 I would not imagine the Corsair Government will accept a complaint about their own base though, a bit like how the Liberty Government will build bases in locations that they would not allow other organisations to build. I'll wait for a while to launch my complaint properly, looks like this base is somewhat controversial. Meanwhile, i'll prefer to ask here if my complaint is correctly made and proven. I have difficulties talking in English. My complaint is going to go this way (here is in a ooRP form) Quote:My character is neutral to the Corsairs, and: Do you think the complaint is correct? Or post it in the comm channel is a bad idea? PD. Thanks for taking the time to read the complaint. Anyway I think POB's in the middle of a trade route should be restricted by server rules. (thats MY OPINION, no more) RE: Some questions about POB - Yak - 04-08-2016 If you're flying in with supplies that the Corsairs want, I'd say you should ask them nicely if there is anything that can be done about the base's hostile setting. You probably don't want to start trying to boss the Corsair Empire around ![]() Also what ID does your ship carry? The faction your ship is associated with is important. Your "rights" are limited there if you are not Corsair, there is no democracy in their empire. If your reputation with them is hostile, they have no reason inRP to welcome you or let you pass freely through their territory. And as Yak said, your ID is important. If you use Freelancer or Zoner ID, you can simply fix your reputation with Corsairs by shooting NPCs of their enemies and once it will be neutral, you will no longer have problem with that base (I assume it is not set to full hostile mode). You probably don't want to start trying to boss the Corsair Empire around I have passed through with 3 different characters, Generic miner ID, Freelancer ID (Neutral Corsair relations, also a artifact smuggler), and Zoner ID. I almost understand the generic miner being blowed up, although it **should** be protected by the mentioned laws. Quote:You probably don't want to start trying to boss the Corsair Empire around It's not intended, only I want to do the complaint correctly, I'm aware I am not the only one affecter by this situation. Where i can **ask them nicely** to stop shooting? |
