Salutations and felicitations, noble brigands of folklore!

This is Quinton McHale, chief of "Dirty Tricks", here with an offer of an alliance of convenience.

I understand that you have quite the impressive fleet, but no real method of keeping them supplied and armed.

We would like to come to something of an understanding wherein you procure our representatives materials from the big corporations for resale to the masses and we help keep you and your boys fed and clothed by bringing in supplies to the location of your choosing.

In simple terms, we want to hire you to pop transports and are inquiring into long-term supply contracts.

Please get back to us at your earliest convenience.

It is good to see you so eager to work with us
We, in turn, are very eager to work with you
At this point we are still coordinating our efforts and building infrastructure
Because of this, we currently don't have the means to hold large quantities of goods

So while we look forward to accepting your offer
We need time to get our organization up and running
Once we are you will be one of the first we will call for a formal "contract"

For the time being, if you do see us in space, feel free to contact us
Especially in regards to "popping transports"
We will be more than happy to help

For a fee, of course.

In saying that
I have seen this is an offer for an "alliance of convenience"
This is an interesting concept you have brought to the table

I am curious as to what you expect in return
I would be foolish to assume you wanted nothing from us
We both know Sirius doesn't work that way.

From the office of Wallace Binghamton...

You are too insightful. Obviously, we'll need a few favors done for us regarding a few things, but that's a blank to be filled in later.

What we would like to immediately ask for is immunity to any taxation of either our ships or facilities by elements of your organization.

For now, we should keep this channel open in the event of either of us needing anything urgent. If you need something brought in right now, you know who to ask.

Well, we have found something we need help with. Specifically, we want your help procuring a "Scylla" Liberty Rogue Destroyer from the Nonsense Factory in Cassini. We are willing to shell out a fair sum AND to bring in supplies for its construction. Send us an estimate on the required supplies and/or monies required (and feel free to exaggerate and pocket the difference).

Upon a highly inexpert and unprofessional analysis, roughly...
//Blatantly ripped from AP Manufacturing Wrote:Ablative Armor Plating - 10,000
Hull Segments 5,000
Industrial Materials - 3,000
Basic Alloy - 3,000
Super Alloy - 3,000
Engine Components - 1,500
Optronics - 3,000
Aluminum - 2,000
Quantum Multiplexors - 3,500
Deuterium - 3,000
Titanium - 2,000
Lasers - 1,000
Solar Panels - 200
Crew - 300
on top of cost of labor and facilities would be input into this. We'll appraise you when our ships have completed the supply runs and link to the records should you choose to accept this offer.

Quinton McHale

Hold up a moment

You're asking us to build you a ship
A Scylla of all things....
When we realistically don't know a thing about you

Hate to break it to you, but it doesnt work like that
I can't even tell you who your group is allied with
Let-a-lone if we can actually trust you.

I'm not about to put the time and effort needed into creating a ship such as this
Only to have you turn around and take it to the lawfuls
Or even worse, shoot us with our own guns

Try again later.

As an additional note
I would like to know what you have been doing around Cassini
As far as I am aware - you aren't Rogues

Before we go any further
I think it would be in your best interest to answer the questions
Why, and what, are you doing in Cassini?

From the office of Wallace Binghamton...

Are you accusing of us of being unconfidential? Why would we turn over a ship that we put effort into to the authorities, or worse - turn it against people who have agreed to play ball with us? Do you think we are insane enough to do that?

However, I understand your concerns.

Very well.

We aren't accusing you of anything at this point in time
We are, however, pointing out we know very little about you
And that you chose not to enlighten us as to who you are and what you stand for

I do not know the lengths the lawfuls will go to, to get information
Be it information on the ships we use, or individuals flying Rogue colors
I do not know who you are or who you are allied with

As for having more luck asking for the Hellhounds
I personally think you would be better off answering our other questions first
After all, we only have an offer of an alliance of convenience to go off

With that in mind, I will take this opportuinity to point something out to you
We do not need your support, Rogues have survived for a long time without you
However, should you want to be left alone in Liberty, you need us on side

Because of this, I would consider your options very carefully

Should you choose not to answer the questions we so clearly asked
I will assume you are only here to waste my time
And believe me, that isn't something you want

I wont be asking again

Well now
How long do I have to wait for an answer
The questions weren't even that hard

I've told you once before that I don't like waiting
Knowing this, do you really think testing my patience is wise?
As it is, this 'friendly reminder' is something most normally wouldn't get

I strongly suggest you come back with some answers in the next 24 hours

However, if you really don't care to answer something so simple
I will be happy to turn this from a discussion of alliance of convenience
To one of how many credits you believe your life to be worth

Think long and hard about how you wish for this to go down
I am just as happy to hunt you, as I am to ally with you
What happens from here is entirely your choice

From the office of Wallace Binghamton...

Sorry about taking so long to get back to you, but a project in the Omegas needed micromanagement, and one of our guys wasn't careful with a load of contraband in Rheinland.

Okay. Let's see what there is to say.

To begin with, we're an apolitical engineering firm, which means that we have no institutional opinion of anyone.

In short, we're a group of Edge World engineers only here to pick up stuff for our projects, and therefore owe nobody in here any loyalty save those we do business with. We happen to be doing business with you, so you can expect us to have some diplomacy with you. Because we run on something of a tight budget, we need to make some "off the books" money, which means that we either:

A. Shoot down other transports ourselves and loot the goodies therein.
B. Hire privateers to procure us goods with a five-finger discount

Obviously, we chose Option B. We fully respect the Sirius Rogues' first dibs on all shipping traffic within Liberty and the Independent Worlds.

Why do we need stuff like a Scylla? Due to the lack of available shipyards, we can only reliably get up to Gunboats, so we need to buy Cruisers and the like from wherever we can, so as to better protect our investments in the Edge Worlds. However, the higher ups in Liberty, and most House governments, actually, are unbelievably strict as to who can buy their stuff, and the actions needed to get the aforementioned stuff would make us a few enemies, you probably included. With your more informal setup, we hope to have less hoops to jump through to get Cruiser-grade equipment.

We were moving a few goods through Cassini because as far as we're concerned, it's a shortcut to the Alberta system inhabited by Junkers and Rogues, two groups we get along with like a house on fire. Should we stop doing this? if you ask, we'll stop effective immediately. Otherwise, were there any tolls or anything we were unaware of?
