I shall be keeping this brief. No doubt your immediate commanding officers have already briefed you on the exact nature of this next great undertaking of ours - however, it falls to me to deliver the formal news that the appointed hour has at last arrived.

Following an operation earlier today, taskforce Héroïne has secured the immediate corridor leading from the Carcassonne to sector G4 in Magellan, including the area of space in the vicinity of the California jumpgate. As such, the first stage of Operation Tourbillon will be undertaken at once.

Battleship Embuscade, the second of our new Conquérant class dreadnoughts, has already completed a short-range hyperspace jump into the California system and established a forward base of operations. Its fighter wings have already begun surveying the system for potential avenues of attack, in order to confirm and substantiate the intelligence we have already obtained on Libertonian fleet movements and buildups within their sector. However, our sources indicate that the Libertonians will not be expecting our advance to have come so swiftly - and therefore, the element of surprise is very much with us.

All forces involved in this operation are to rendezvous with the Embuscade and receive further orders upon their arrival. The Carcassonne, Chant du Cygne, Valenciennes, and Vauquelin have already secured the Magellan-California corridor, and the way is now clear for all divisional commanders to proceed to their assigned area of operations immediately.

Operation Tourbillon is hereby underway. All glory be to Gallia.
