I got a free copy of Gamer PC magazine today, so I read it and stumbled on the 'Free Freelancer' article near the back.
We got compared against three other mod packs for Freelancer, they are:
- Freeworlds
- Battlestar Galactica: Exodus
- Shattered Worlds
Craig Pearson of PC Gamer Wrote:This plays off the original space shooter, boldly extending it further into the universe than even the developers dared to go. It layers a whole bunch of add-ons created by obsessive fans on top of the original server content, bringing new equipment, ships and regions to the game as well as tweaking the game rules. Discovery can be played offline, but the main reason to play is to join a roleplaying server and act like you're a captain of your own ship... just like the 1,000 characters on the official server do. Yep Discovery is bug, and its been around for a loooong time. But you'll find it helpful, and knowledgeable, people. Consult the forums before you log-in though.
On the pictures, Outcast ships wreck a Kusari Battleship with the quote Ooh, that looks expensive. and a Raven Claw ripping up someone called Burel with the quote It's a friendly place. Honest..
We getting good reviews! I will personally ask them to review 4.85 when it comes out.:laugh:
