Trying to start a lan to orient myself - Sorrontis - 06-13-2016
Hello
I was trying to open a local server to get myself used to the game again (it's been a very very long time - and to learn about all that the mod does), but when I do I get this error:
C:\work\builds\dalibs\dalibs-build\build\Src\DACOM\Dacom.cpp(612) : ERROR:General
ACOM: AddLibrary: unable to load dll 'flhook.dll', ignoring...It still starts up, but I cannot join my own server, it gives a weird IP address. Any one have any hints?

You cant Join Discovery freelancer?

With all the RP rules, I just want to get used to playing Freelancer again and get used to all that Discovery has to offer; before I jump in fully.

No.
You are getting the odd IP address due to how FL works with IPV6 addresses.
If you want to host a lan server and join it yourself you will need to either keep refreshing the server list until it shows with a proper IP address (Might take a while) or go to your internet connection properties and disable IPV6 for however long it is you want to test things.
Though I suggest you avoid all of that nonsense and just jump into the frey. More fun that way.
And you'd need to try VERY hard to mess up badly.

I might as well. Although, now Freelancer won't boot up. Just crashes. I'll reinstall the entire thing.

Make sure you have this installed: https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=48145
Disable IPV6 with this: https://support.microsoft.com/en-gb/kb/929852
Run then, if still has errors post back here.
