DDOS Attacks - Xenon - 07-03-2016

is there any kind of protection we can help with to prevent this DDOS? .. any kind of protection filter we can cooperate and buy for the server safety?
There must be a away to stop this ignorant and barbaric actions against the server. Anyone?

This is an occasional occurance lad, and With the amount of bans lately its unsurprising that this is happening!

Also, There isn't any real way it can be prevented, Unless a lot of money is put towards it, something that the discovery team don't really have!

RE: DDOS Attacks - Operator - 07-03-2016

Despite of this, the server's still down.

RE: DDOS Attacks - Dr Hooligan - 07-03-2016

FYI, DDoSing brings up serious legal issues. This is highly illegal to do. Whoever is doing this should stop.

RE: DDOS Attacks - Exploration - 07-03-2016

Well the server does have DDOS protection as far as i'm aware.

But i mean, eventually they'll get bored and give up. Let them waste their money and time attacking a game server. If anything it just displays how sad these people (whoever they are) actually are. Patience is a virtue in this sense i suppose.

DDOS attacks are not like a regular virus or malware attack. It's Distributed Denial-Of-Service. It takes special software. I have no idea what they use, but I would be willing to pay monthly toward it if we need it.

You can, first of all, not give what the attacker wants - a reaction and a display of annoyance.
