Take a glance at the rules section, the place got a major overhaul during the last year. Apart from that, there are a few specialized factions like that, yeah. I am sure you will see a few suggestions in this thread in a bit.

The Hellfire Legion are a revolutionary faction which likes liberating stuff in Liberty itself. I've heard they were also strong in PvP.
