Grateful - Kalhmera - 07-14-2016

So i was thinking about it recently and i just wanted to show some love to the server, yea we have our ups and downs but this is still (For me) a great place to play and have fun. i have started to dive into more RP writing and such and building my characters more in depth.

i was thinking about getting a trend started, post something here on this server that you enjoy most! it can be anything. do not post any negative things or troll for it shall be deleted by mods as im sure they will help me out in this request.

Well what are you waiting for?

The absolute ridicilously insane group-chats when some more of my guys come together on a raid.

The drama, Say what you will but it is never dull around here.

RE: Grateful - Adeline - 07-14-2016

(Despite what others may say)

I love this place for the people I've met and the creativity I've had the opportunity to express over the years, despite how others may look at it, This game and its communityis truly the place where I an able to meet people who have just as much a creative urge as me, and want to express themselves,

Yes, this game has its problems mechanic wise and people wise. But that never stopped me and my friends in this place from pursuing their imaginations and roleplaying just who they want, going wherever they want, and being who they want to be in the Discovery Freelancer Universe.

Massive kudos to the various people I've met, roleplayed with, shot at (and shot at me). And to those with whom I've even had a personal conversation with and made genuine friends.

And thats why @Ace Razgriz loves disco.

This server is the last standing freelancer server, and everybody should wait a moment and think, why it's the last standing one?
I think from my point of view, it's because of it's community members, developers, admins, moderators and all - This place is a great place and deserve to be grateful for.

RE: Grateful - TheJarl - 07-14-2016

I've been around for like 6 years now and even though I sometimes took a break I always came back. I have tried to find similar things but it never worked out quite the same way. By now I simply have accepted that Discovery has a place in my life and that it will be that way for at least a few more years and hopefully many more.

For me of course the roleplay is the number one aspect, although I do like the gameplay as well. However, I like many games but I rarely play any game more than a few months in a row because gameplay itself simply starts to bore me after a while. Gameplay alone could thus never have kept me around here. The roleplay does however. Roleplay can always take new interesting turns. Sometimes I write pre-planned stories with people and sometimes things just happen in-game and I go with the flow. In either case I can let my imagination go wild and I am accompanied by the many fun and talented people in this community.

I dunno somehow this is the only place that truly works out for me. I tried Neverwinter Nights RP with some Disco'ers but I personally just couldn't really get into it. Only in Disco I can really get immersed even though the gameplay is technically a lot less suited for roleplay.

Oh and I of course am grateful to all my lovelies in the VWA or were in the VWA in the past. With so many people there I just have that 'click' to make stories with together.

So yeah. One love <3

I enjoy the fact that even after so many years Disco is still fun and I've met plenty of peeps that I still enjoy playing other games with. That and it is one of those few things I do not mind putting some of my free time and effort into.
