death penalties - trampek - 08-31-2016 hello Im new here and to freelancer at all , after few hours playing i really like this server and want to spent here long long time but ... why i dont lose ship when i die , in fact i lose nothing but cargo , thats really wierd as on forums and wiki says everywhere its Rp server etc. etc. etc. ( in fact i was wondering too why you can mule cash between your ships too but thats not big deal ) so my question is what this server really is ? rp or action ? in game i saw many many players ( most of them in fact ) using names completly not following that rp rules on forum in wiki or i just dont know enough lore of server yet not that i am into rp so much , no no , i like it just little bit , realism and hard diffculty is what i care about most so again , what should i expect , does it get any harder ? ( i made 3+ mln in 2 hours with starter ship and learning all even flying in that time ) . Do i lose ships later or something when i die ? Is cash worth anything after beginning ? or all is about just fight without loosing anything ? As i said i really liked this place and wanted play a lot but i like it hard , i can take muling but i dont think i can take not loosing ship after death or rather not making someone pay when i destroy other ships
RE: death penalties - sindroms - 08-31-2016 You can imagine it all this way: You are currently playing a Softcore RP character. If you want to experience hardmode - due to game limitations on our end, you will just need to leave it up to yourself for a decent challenge. See here: http://discoverygc.com/forums/showthread.php?tid=139674 RE: death penalties - nOmnomnOm - 08-31-2016 Yeah as spazzy said, you can make your own difficulty. If you wana loose your ship when you die then there is a delete option. It is entertaining to think what the server would be like though if there was a ship wipe after death for everyone. RE: death penalties - trampek - 08-31-2016 so once you get some super battleship or that train cargo transporter you have it forever ? combined with muling that kinda kills some fun for me tho as i said i really like this place so i guess im gonna give a "longer" try tnx for answering ! RE: death penalties - Izay Vyu - 08-31-2016 Yes, you can have it forever. However, remember this is an RP server, so it looks chabby if you use your battleship for one suicide mission after another. *cough* RE: death penalties - sasapinjic - 08-31-2016 Battleships are broken and unfinished anyway , they are mostly helpless against anything but big transports or other Battleships , small size and agility is all that mater in this mode regarding combat ( or number of players you have on your side ) .
RE: death penalties - trampek - 08-31-2016 i must say i liked it much more yesterday when i was thinking i will lose ship when i die , there was a lot more planning and care . I dont really see how economic works here as once you get enough cash for ship you want you dont need earn cash anymore , i guess only noobs like me trade or mine hehe anyway now it doesnt matter much for me , lets see if i get bored when i earn all of this ... RE: death penalties - Titan* - 08-31-2016 Well this game isnt eve online. You can lose 1.5bil worth ship in seconds. People would leave because of this. Imagine you working really hard to get enough cash for full upgraded battleship then losing it to buttcloaker battleship in 20 seconds RE: death penalties - trampek - 08-31-2016 i dont like eve online , it sucks imho still yes i would like it ( losing that 1,5 bil ship ) but i guess thats just me
RE: death penalties - Skorak - 08-31-2016 Well you can make what Spazzy suggested. Some people do that and in fact I plan to make one of these in the future. Once I find the time. |
