Goals & Purpose:

The LKR is formed out of a desire to protect Rheinland from a relapse of the events of the Nomad War. It is there, to take the fight straight to the enemy, on Land, Air or Space. Serving as the Militant and Strike branch of the MND, the LKR boasts a small, yet well equipped fleet of Strike Fighters and Bombers with which to strike crushing blows against Rheinland's enemies.

Semper Fortis Vigilate Paratus et Fidelis
Always Brave, Vigilant, Prepared and Faithful

Brothers,Sisters, Do not listen to the talk of cowards who say we have been crushed on the field of battle. Look with your own eyes on the great might of Rheinland, built by your own hands. See fighters built by the hundreds all through the strength of your own labor. See the millions of our brothers in the Military who march to guard our borders from invasion and aggression. No, do not listen to the talk of defeat. Hear instead the call to serve your fellow man, and answer it, kinsman.

The Kanzler urges all of Rheinland's people to remain faithful to the cause, and to cling to their determination. Every day, we are winning this war on terror. Every day the Rheinwehr downs more Hessian, Corsair and Other unwanted craft. Every hour our factories produce more materials and every battle we are driving the enemy further back. Over the past decade, Rheinland has suffered greatly at the hands of Pirates, and malevolent foreign powers. Will you not do your part to protect the Fatherland?

If the answer to this is Yes, if you're tired of sitting at home while the Fatherland aches around you, join us today. Offering unique career opportunities in countless fields, the Landsknecht of Rheinland current search for new recruits to bolster their slim ranks. RE: LKR| Landsknecht of Rheinland Faction Info,Recruitment and Feedback - Skorak - 10-01-2016

Landsknecht is singular.

A Landsknecht is a mercenary.

Proper german plural is "Landsknechte".

Accepted english plural is "Landsknechts"

I am aware that the Popular meaning of Landsknecht is of the Early Modern Era Mercenary, However. Taken it it's most literal form, which is what the basis of this is, it would roughly mean Land-Servant, which is the intent of this organization. The exact plurality of it, I admit, was botched, and I'll fix it now.

RE: LKR| Landsknechte Rheinland Faction Info and Recruitment - Skorak - 10-01-2016

Well a Landsknecht will always describe these guys:

15th(I think later too) century mercenaries. There is no other meaning but the literal one of the words that put it together. But that is not really how it works.

I mean they were used as a military force but your description looks more like patriots.

But then again, it's just a name. Most people will probably not find a problem with it.

Good luck. Leading a faction can be difficult. I hope you have support in your HC. Because without my HCs I'd never manage what I do.

Thank you! I definitely have the support I need, and, even people from other factions have already reached out to me with help and advice, which is great. I'm really excited to see where this goes.

Yes.
Correct.
But not applicable.
Landsknecht does not define the members , it is a unit name.
Since it is one unit , the singular applies and not the plural.
Therefore the relation to the specific historical forces is but in tribute , not in effective recreation.
In example the "Valkyrie Freikorps" is not comprised of actual Valkyries either.

RE: LKR| Landsknechte Rheinland Faction Info & Feedback - Demonic - 10-02-2016

Well... good luck? Rheinland sure needs some lawfull activity. Perhaps a new, fresh faction will be the thing to bring it. We shall see. oh and Btw... it could be nice to get those ranks translated to german (so you have the German and English versions) I always like it when the factions are doing that.

RE: LKR| Landsknechte Rheinland Faction Info & Feedback - Skorak - 10-02-2016

So you named the unit "Landsknecht" and just because?

Sure go ahead. It just makes it sound more weird to me. And I personally still only ever see a bunch of colourfuly dressed mercenaries with pikes.

RE: LKR| Landsknechte Rheinland Faction Info & Feedback - Thyrzul - 10-02-2016

How about Raumsknecht?
