Open Petition to the Admins: POBs - Jack_Henderson - 10-24-2016

This motion is the logical consequence of the public poll (http://discoverygc.com/forums/showthread.php?tid=144389) in which more than 70 % agree that there should not be any bases closer than 15k from mining fields and the poll in the faction leader channel (http://discoverygc.com/forums/showthread.php?tid=138247). In this one 19 out of 24 faction leaders (= 79 %) voted to "Remove all POBs from mining fields and their direct vicinity (also those that were grandfathered in)", (19 agreed, 3 disagreed, 2 neutral).

As a player with plenty of PoB experience, I would like to conditionally sign this by saying that, in my view, it doesn't make sense with the current set of PoB rules (namely mandatory attack declarations) to allow PoBs in these sensitive locations.

I am in almost full concurrence with this request, but instead of "removed" the bases should be "moved" to allow fair passage for all vessels.

I agree with this petition. But I think that regarding PoB's this is one of the least concerning problems right now that need to be fixed/rethinked.

I could get behind this if this petition also prevent POBs from being within 15k of any NPC base.
These are as harmful as mining field POBs.

Alley is right, Jack. Only going for one type of Area-denial-bases is one-sided and shows quite well your intention "behind the scenes" so to speak, namely
just trying to get rid of Reutlingen somehow while keeping the benefits from Aland denying pirates a nice piracy spot.
Go for all types of areal denial POBs or keep it as it is. Otherwise this petition is just poor form, because the siege recently failed.
