I have been thinking that I want to join a faction. Something fun and low-stress/drama, not pvp heavy but I can get by in pvp. Anyone want to throw me their faction pitch? I am an experienced rper and I like to think a pretty reasonable, fun guy to have in a faction.

Try LPI, there's RP and you can get into PVP situations. Being a police officer can be fun.

But if I were you, I would try LWB or Bundies. You would be surprised, but you can even convince RFP not to shoot you. Just give them a bottle of Beer or Sausages

I'd suggest you FL-ER, as they are active, have numbers and you can do whatever you want, it seem, while having fun at RP and PvP.

Honestly, I'd say try Council. I'm not in the faction, but that faction needs more players and has a lot of RP -and- pew opportunities with a -lot- of the Tau denizens.

Back to topic. I think what Venk said is probably true. Police factions, especially the corrupt LPI. Just because you actually can defend inrp why you won't kill any hostile. I find it difficult to justify that on Navy ships for example.
Shinju's suggestions also sound good. But that's unlawful of course and can add some stress depending on what you do.
Maybe you could join a corporation too and for a change not focus on the trading part.

Join Ile-de-France Shipping, it's a good way to earn credits and to get some interactions, don't worry, you can also fly a fighter and fight against other player who want to rob the convoy.

Agreed. You should find most RP with either smaller unlawful factions (less active, lower playerbase count but nice RP possibilities) or the different corporations which offer a nice mix of PvP & RP too. Police RP can be really a lot of fun too and what I like most about police factions is that your char can be very, very individual about which target you shoot or which you do not shoot.
