Then you would have people pirating to only shoot off the cargo pods.
'Hey, that guy has an Ageria pod. Let's shoot it then run off to Buffalo!'
I agree with this idea but it would be hard to do with all the corporations in the game.

Since they die in a few shots they shouldn't be too expensive since you have to replace them which is probably going to be a pain then because you'd have to visit the proper station.
Other than that I really love the idea and it would be something more to indiviualise.

Someone suggested instead of making Corporation pods (which would increase the database by a rate of Corporations*7) that the pods are just labeled with the symbol of the House and pseudo-house pods, such as the following.

I may be wrong, but couldn't Official Factions request this sort of thing as a perk if it is of interest to them?
On the other hand, I doubt there would be much interest from certain factions, e.g. IMG, don't really use any transports that support cargo pods, unless things have changed recently. Of course, I could be wrong, again
