Hello guys, I just started created a trader character and would like everyones opinions on what would be a good freightor to use between 1 and 3 million. I'm looking for something that offers good protection from corsairs and nomads so a decent shield is a must.

Ahh... well.. dearly loved my old X-Scow. She served me well on my slow and unexpected climb to Episkopos-ship.
A bit tight in the hold, only 250, and turns like a bloody tank,
but, six forward mounts, three turrets, all Class 7; and ye can buy the Swarm Pod to put in yer Torp mount right there at the shop.
Planet Harris, Tau-31. All for under a Milliard or so.. Mention "Lightfoot". They may cut you a deal.

Reccommended freightors - marauder - 08-24-2006
The corsairs sell the freighter with the best armour, you could try the kushan one.
Fit it out right and you can kill of gunboats with it, can't remember the hold size but thats listed in the mod readme.
Class 10 shield mount, 3 forward guns, 5 turrets. Pretty agile for a freighter, it'd be ok in dog-fights as long as you keep an eye on how many and who your fighting.

well hey ive never flown one so i didnt know but i do know that the Armord transport is under 3 mill because i just got one for my armory
