Admin Notice: FR5 amendment - sindroms - 01-19-2017 Good day. Latest vote has resulted in the change of our current description of the Faction Right 5. The added line is shown in green: Quote:Faction Right 5. Official player factions may request that the reputation of a player's ship be changed to hostile with respect to their NPC faction. These requests must be posted within the Player Requests subforum, and include link(s) to valid forum roleplay, as well as actual interaction between the character and the official faction. In case of IDs with multiple official factions, this right can only be used if it has support of every official faction of the ID, but in case of disagreement between the factions involved, they can post an appeal to the administrators to review the situation and come to a decision. Some of you may have been doing this already for a while, but this change should clarify our stance on the matter. Please note the wording used in this rule as it specifies only tagged players on both sides. FR5s on individuals do not grant them the ability to freely engage the FR5er, and FR5ed groups may not treat indie players belonging to the FR5ing NPC faction as hostile targets. RE: Admin Notice: FR5 amendment - Inferno - 01-19-2017 So anyone who has ever been FR5'd by the LPI can break their ID regulations and shoot LPI? Let's see how this work. RE: Admin Notice: FR5 amendment - sindroms - 01-19-2017 No. Read it again, carefully this time. RE: Admin Notice: FR5 amendment - Kauket - 01-19-2017 This is within the ZOI, right? Groups also involve unofficial factions too? Does this apply to both generic & non-generic factions? RE: Admin Notice: FR5 amendment - Inferno - 01-19-2017 Oh OK. Seems I only half-read greentext these days. This actually makes sense now. AFC - GMG battles coming soon :p RE: Admin Notice: FR5 amendment - Durandal - 01-19-2017 Good change, if minor. RE: Admin Notice: FR5 amendment - sindroms - 01-19-2017 Yes, within ZOI, where applicable. This works for both unofficial and official factions in terms of who is allowed to shoot their FR5ee, but they are only allowed to shoot those who issued the FR5. In other words, if the [LN] and 5th issue an FR5 on a group, the group can attack the [LN] and 5th, but not, say, the 75th unofficial wing, or indie LN players. RE: Admin Notice: FR5 amendment - Alex. - 01-19-2017 If a faction FR5s only a specific member of a group, does that allow the whole group to treat them as hostile targets? Police factions would get defecated on by all indie players they have FR5ed for smuggling. Also, it is easier for us and the rest of the community to keep track of groups being FRed against other groups, rather than every single player ever. We expect that official factions will also update their diplomacy regarding their new hostiles as well. If we allowed individuals to do this as well, it would be very simple for an indie character to switch to a different ID that allowed no ZOI limitations or larger shiptypes in order to then shoot these factions. It would also be impossible for new members to said factions to keep track of who is FR5ed and whether or not this FL IDed player shooting them is someone who does not know their ID lines or a player their faction had FR5ed at some point. It is simply a bit too hard to keep track of. |
