I recently acquired an outcast dessie. I am now wondering what I should do with it, such as what kind of turrets should be on it, armor upgrades etc. Could you guys tell me what successes you have had with your ships and the approx. price of all the upgrades would be nice to know too.

No, rly. There's too many outcast dessies on this server, I think they outnumber the BHG NPC's that swarm toledo all day long.

Depends on the usage.
For general anti-cap, two Infernos, one Light Mortar, and the rest regular OC turrets is good.
Cap Armor Mk6 is the best deal; x3 for something like 50mil.
Total cost: Roughly 60-70 mil.

They could have made the other ships look a little nicer. IMO the OC dessie is the nicest looking ship in the game right now.

When will I actually need the Cap Armor Mk6? The outcast dessie already comes with a ton of armor, but I think multiplying that amount by 3 is a little overboard. Also I think the ship will be mainly used as an anti-fighter ship more than a anti-cap ship.

If it's going to be anti-fighter, mount mostly Solaris guns, and maybe two or three missiles.
NO MORE THAN THAT. People get upset...

So cruiser turrets right? I can grab those at malta I believe. But I am not sure where to get the cap 6 armor because I doubt they sell it at malta.

Go to Palermo base at Omicron Eta. Its only one jump away, you cant miss it.
just a tip. when undocking, when you press "launch to space" and see the "loading" screen, thrust and strafe to the left or else youll get stuck.

Oh god palermo base, (Remembers when he was stuck at the dock for 15 minutes trying to get out with his LH GB).

Cruiser turrets use too much energy, in my opinion.
The destroyer ones are perfect, I need all the energy for my dual mortars:)
