What exactly is the rule on bounties? RP question - -}BSC{-IIIDefenderIII - 12-30-2008 Occasionally someone tells me that they want a player terminated. From my understanding I can carry out the bounty as long as I post that it was fulfilled afterward. Being in a BC, pirates get really mad and post complaints when I carry out bounties on them. However, when I mind my own business they attack at all opportunities. Is there something illegal about fulfilling a bounty in a BC? I know it may be considered a waste of resources, but usually I only take out bounties if I happen to see them while I am headed somewhere, unless is worth a whole lot. Is this OORP? And would it be out of OORP for other BH with me to help? What exactly is the rule on bounties? RP question - Fellow Hoodlum - 12-30-2008 It seems you may have mis-read that ... The bounty does need to be posted first, before you take it ... Then you can claim it. Hood What exactly is the rule on bounties? RP question - N1X73R - 12-30-2008 In my opinion (note i rarely fly my BH dessie) it is very ooRP indeed i.e. its a waste of resources ... RA RA RA RA you know the rest. BUT as long as they post a bounty in the employment office afterward... and i guess specify that a BC can take it, it is perfectly legal. but unless its worth say upwards of 5 mil... well you know... RA RA RA! My 2 cents anywho. Edit... oh and sharing the bounty with other BH's is fine. What exactly is the rule on bounties? RP question - Weedalot - 12-30-2008 a Question: Really?! you need a BC to take a Bomber or a fighter? or a BS in case of other BH's that i am not going to mention here. Are we pirates so scary? What exactly is the rule on bounties? RP question - N1X73R - 12-30-2008 With the hate like that.... thats why i fly a bomber:) What exactly is the rule on bounties? RP question - Agmen of Eladesor - 12-30-2008 ' Wrote:a Question: I don't know - the last time I ran into a 'pirate' in a bomber, it was two of them. And the time before that, it was two bombers and a gunboat on the pirate side. And the time before that it was two gunboats... Actually - the only times I've ever run into a pirate in only a fighter, it was in New Berlin, and I was listening to 'Radio Free Rheinland', for lack of a better term. During those encounters, the pirate wasn't actually shooting at anyone, just talking. There are so many corsair, rogue, and lane hacker gunboats out there, it's not even funny. Having said that - bounty hunter cap ships shouldn't really be in house space. they should be out fighting the Order or protecting space stations and construction sites. However, there are bounties that do not have cap ship restrictions on them, and until the new ID and restrictions on BH cap ships come about, then if you happen to terminate with extreme prejudice some miscreant that has a bounty posted on him or her - more power (and money) to you. Quote:BUT as long as they post a bounty in the employment office afterward... and i guess specify that a BC can take it, it is perfectly legal. Not quite - as Hoodlum said, the bounty has to be posted FIRST in the forum. There are many bounties available that do not have cap ship restrictions on them. (There's also a lot that DO have ship restrictions on them - in which case, if you want to have PvP, just let the pirate attack first, then defend yourself. But DON'T sit 5k away from Crete - that's just... wrong.) What exactly is the rule on bounties? RP question - ryoken - 12-30-2008 I myself like when BH cap's chase my fighter/bomber. I just thrust away laughing. HAhaHA you can't catch me. Nothing like a 200 Thrust against a cap with 120 or 0 thrust. Ofcourse your would not beleive how many BH's break the no cruise to catch up rule. What exactly is the rule on bounties? Then afterwards i might get a little little bit of RP like, "Oh, the lane hackers are gonna be paying me nicely for that one!"... and then they are gone. Poof! dessie disappeared into slimline capwhoring air:) Edit: ' Wrote:Not quite - as Hoodlum said, the bounty has to be posted FIRST in the forum. Right... my bad... i stopped following that topic a while back. |
