I'm serious about this. Could I name the planet or something? It's the only object besides the stars in that system, and it isn't owned by anyone. Barren and lifeless.

Pretty sure that if you want to name a planet you have to get the system approved to be purchased, then you can do all sorts of things, but you'd have to spend a few months solidifying a faction, base them there, lobby for purchase, then if accepted, spend the money to build it up in a future version.
