Well, yesterday I set up a Liberty Rogue Bloodhound, and when I got round to finalising my set-up on Buffalo - buying the ID and such, I read both the Liberty Rogue and Pirate IDs through again.

I noticed that both IDs say that the player can demand cargo, but has no mention to money. I understand that about 90% of generic Pirates and Liberty Rogues demand money, but I was wondering, should the 'cargo piracy only' text in the ID be ignored?

I'm just sorta confused, because I never noticed it before. I mean sure, the IDs are being overhauled for .85, but I can see that arriving for next year, so we'll be sticking with these for the time being.

Any comments on it?

The term cargo and the term credits are interchangeable in ID's, in fact no ID ever mentions credits, go have a look. If you can demand one you can demand both.

Similar question:

Quote: Xeno Terrorist ID

Pilot carrying this ID has joined the Xenos. Xeno ID owners can attack any lawful and most unlawful ships at will and participate in military operations on unlawful side. Xeno ID owners are not allowed to ally with lawful forces or demand cargo from traders; also, they are not allowed to use capital ships, super heavy fighters, transports, and liners.

Allowed ships: Fighters, Freighters
Yet they do, and this is a mainstay of Xeno RP.

Que?

HE SAID IT! Quick! Hop on your Xeno character and start PIRATING CREDITS!:nono:

*ahem*

Anyways.. You can pirate credits, yes, even though none of the ID's say so (Which Del just said..)

Whenever I have been RPing as my Xeno I have demanded cargo, but never taken it.

I have made them drop it, and destroy them before their very eyes, for the good of Liberty, before sending them back to their vile foreign lands!

Something I noticed - Orin - 01-03-2009

Telling them to drop it in any way is still demanding cargo.

Blown up or not.

Rp stands before word-playing though. In other words : " Xeno is not a regular pirate, don't go around, asking traders for 4mior die. ".

I completely agree that blowing up cargo is the Xeno's way to go, but the ID expressly says it's illegal.

That's my conundrum.

And the admins have said that it is allowed, despite the ID not allowing it. Next version that wording gets fixed.

In short, the admins have said that Xenos can't demand credits, but can ask them to drop their cargo.
