Xi under fire! Part One
PVP EVENT: [TBH] & UN| vs. Vagrant. & (C- + Nomad Indie Cruiser
TIME: Sunday, April 9th AT 19:00 UTC
PLACE: Omicron Xi at F6

| Coincidentally, the Brotherhood is returning from a successful raid in the Munich system. They got to pirate a few traders that brought food rations from Stuttgart to the dying planet Nuremberg. While the freigthers return the loot to Gamma, the fighters and whatever bigger ships they were escorting will move towards the specific location the Delos told them to look for the nomads. Even more coincidentally, a bunch of Unioners joined the Corsairs in Munich and now follows them to Xi, not really sure what to think about the Corsairs raiding food transports heading for Nuremberg. However, that is a discussion for later, as they join the escorts to find that nomad in Xi. |
Vagrant. & (C~ + Irra |
| The Vagrants are currently researching the Irra Warform. It would take them at least two months to adapt the Cruiser warform with their current knowledge about it. Thus, Advisor Dione ordered the Vagrants to collect data on every already existing Irra out there, to increase the research speed. One nomad Irra was spotted heading in the direction of Omicron Gamma, and so the Vagrants follow this one. Eventually, it leads the Vagrants to Omicron Xi, where the Irra visits the Nomad Defensive Grid in the South Aegean Nebula. However, their movements do not remain unnoticed. The Irra was spotted on metagame long-range sensors. However, that works both ways. While the enemy is gathering to intercept the Irra, the Commune is alerted by noticing the Vagrants moving out as well. For a moment, they forget about the Sealed Containers they got from a few traders and follow the Vagrants, only to appear right in time before the battle begins. Optional Goal: If the Irra somehow manages to survive till the end, the Vagrants' Irra research time will be boosted, shortening the necessary time to research the Irra Warform by 15 days. |
Rules:
- Please only register ships that fit the slots listed below
- Stick to the slots. Bring nothing that wasn't registered!
- No escape. No restocking. No cloaks during battle, no buttcloaking.
- Make sure you restart PC and Discovery right before the battle. We don't want to have laggers around.
- Instead of piling on the last two people, give the last two of the enemy team a 2 vs 2. That should make it more interesting.
- Since Omicron Xi is not ZoI of the UN|, this rule clarifies that they will be considered "attacked by Vagrants/Commune" as soon as the event fight starts, so they can defend themselves.
- Standard PvP things. Drop your engagement lines when the fight starts.
- Don't even dare to play with the thought of have faction-foreign people use your shareds. You will have to register your ship. No registrations via proxy!
- When you register your ship for the event, write "There is nutella in my chesthair!" if you're a corsair in your registering post, "I am a strong independent Vagrant!" if you're a Vagrant or "My mental powers can set feedback threads on fire!" if you're a Commune member, "I hate Punkbuster!" if you are an Unioner and "*** (warmth) ***" if you're an Irra. That way I know you have read the rules and accept them. People who don't post their lines with their registration won't get accepted. ;3
- In case of the balancing making it necessary to add more slots or permitting indies to partake, the balancing will be done manually by shoving around players to somehow make things more even. As in: I don't want a gank-squad one side but rather split them up and have them fight each other.

On a side-note: Event planning was done on my own. Foxglove, Tanith, Clavius, Pepe and Lerdi have agreed with this event, however the specific settings, rules and permissions were set by me - so if you have a problem with this event, don't QQ at them.

Also I'd say it's unlikely to get battleships involved as neither UN|, (C~ or Vagrants. have them, so it'd make balancing much harder.
