Nomad missions - Tenacity - 01-04-2009

I thought I heard this mentioned once, but havent heard anything since...

Currently, the only missions available for the order are anti-liberty and anti-bhg, Zoners have no missions at all available to them as well.

Might we be able to get a few "kill ships" missions targetting nomads for both zoner and order rep out in the borderworlds?

Might appear at some point but expect only for the Order, top tier levels. Still need some requisites and stuff. Wave and station/depot types, others will be an issue and would not make much sense. Probably in update coming after 4.85 or may be even at that one if all goes well. Was thinking of putting two/three areas near the nomad jumpgate in Minor, and one outside in Delta in upper asteroid field, all to be issued from Toledo.

More than one Oder mission offered on the Isis would be good, adding missions to Toledo would be excellent.
Also now that single player has been abandoned could we have the possibility to sell commodities in Toledo?
Docking and undocking on the Isis with a capital ship is a true pain.

I don't have a problem with the Zoners having no missions, it will keep down the use of Zoner capital ships since they will require a guard id.

YES. PLEASE. Add a commodity dealer on Toledo, please. That and additional missions at the Isis. And the Nomad missions. Add it all, please.

If you dont add zoner missions and bribes dont affect the Zoner GAURD rep, Then how the HELL am i supposed to get it in 4.85.

That won't stop anyone from getting the Zoner Guard rep. There are other ways - like slaughtering GMG npcs until you're 5 bars from hostile with the Zoners. And then off to Omicron Theta for the infamous Zoner double bribe and voil? - you're a member of the Zoner Guard.

Since I have an RL, I decided to take this rather oorpish route. Actually, all of the Zoner Guards that I know of have used a similar method to get their Guard rep. I would have preferred taking missions for the Zoners.

Yep, Zoner missions would be much better than triple/double bribes and killing allies of Zoners. And the only way is make them aginst Nomads/Wilds, otherwise it would greatly mess Zoners reps, and will be very oorp to kill pirates for example, if it is for Zoners. SO yes, totall yes, both for Zoner and Order mission aginst Nomads. Both factions need it, but Zoners more, since Order already have at least SOME missions.

Against Nomads the following groups I can see having missions: the Order, Liberty Security Force/Navy in Alaska and Bounty Hunter Guild, Corsairs to some extent may be. Currently I'm making a few for a test drive for the Order to see how it's going to work. Zoners? No. Find different means for them, like adding more bribes and whatnot. Just because there is a problem with game mechanics that doesn't mean putting them on par with aforementioned factions. Protect Freeports and such, but actual war - leave it to those who are trained to go into front lines in it.

yeh. prison stations in alaska give them out. isis give them out. and maybe some limited ones for zoners. but we could add some new nomad objects for these missions. great chance to get some better Order RP.

EDIT: just had a thourght why the hell does toledo have a bar? Order pilots are busy fighting nomads and most of them live on the isis. not even srue they have time for a drink. how about we change it from a bar to...like i dunno a place full of computers where you get your orders and missions. just a thourght

Well, BMM runs missions against Corsairs, Interspace gives missions against Rogues...these factions are on about the same level of "war" as Zoners are with Nomads...sure, for the most part, it's defensive, but, if there's a group of Nomad ships in the vicinity of a Freeport, its definetly in RP for Zoners to hire someone to take them out.

'Sides, most mission activity is an OORP method of aquiring an ID, anyway...
