From fine line neutral zoners to fully operational military faction.I see zoner id military iff in some ship that is red to me.zoner with liberty cruiser soon there will be nomad zoners.I need help to understand what are they now.

To my understanding, Zoners are a completely neutral organization, which maintains a defensive military force to maintain that neutrality.

Basically, they don't like to take sides, and have a big stick to keep others from pushing them around.

On the other hand, a lot of players don't really understand how that is supposed to work, and you'll see a lot of OoRP zoners.

red to you means has nothing to do with their rep - but with yours. ... so you may appear green to them, while they appear red to you.

other than that - its very easy. - you go by the ID - thats what the rules say. a player with a zoner ID is ..... surprise..... a zoner.

There are OORP Zoners who use our ID and ships to go after pirates and to trade because they think the ID makes them immune to piracy.. But don't take the actions of some and think thats the same way the rest of us behave.

yea - we already do that with the BHG faction:P

there re several explanations aside from a false ID...

- maybe there is a story behind it. - you should know that IDs and IFFs not always match the RP that is done
- maybe it is someone doing reputation work still...

either way - what they appear to you ( green, white, red ) can be 100% ignored - it matters not, not even a slight little bit. - all that matters is their ID in the first place... after that it might be the tag - but the ID overwrites the tag.

if such players are too much of an annoyance - file a report... but better... talk to them about it. - most of the times, they have a very logical explanation for it - sometimes even a thrilling story.

true so true but stil he shouldnt hunt me down .

Well, i think that to be a zoner you should also simoultaniously take up a very boring RP type. No PvP unless in defence means no PvP. Mining is out of the question, which leaves trading.........yeah, trading.

but "that" is a totally different issue.... - and unrelated to the ID mostly ( if it was your infected crusier )

the problem there is - the only enemy of zoners are infected, wild or nomads ( or other somewhat artificial / alien species ) - and so, they can hunt you, even the new ID in 4.85 will allow hunting of infected and nomad targets.

unrelated to the ID, - cause those targets are enemy to everyone, save a few fanatical outcasts.

if it was not your cruiser that was - lets say.... "well known" to be infected, in RP as well as ooc... then it is plainly false for a zoner to "hunt" anyone - to make someone hunt you... that might be... but not to hunt ( unless there have been actions that led to the hunt, like zoners in your hold, attacks on zoners or allies of zoners etc. )
