Thoughts on Mindshare and Nomad 'Human' Helpers - Walker - 01-05-2009 I just remembered in Singleplayer... When Trent, Juni, and Walker storms Prison Station Mitchell - Chancellor Niemann has this 'goon' - You guys might remember him, he has a grey suit with a mustache and a Military cut... As he leaves the room with Jacobi and Niemann he turns the corner and Trent takes him hostage... Now he enters the room with the guy and the Guards turn around and just think its Mr. Grey Suit... If Mr. Grey Suit was a Nomad then wouldn't he have just easily alerted Niemann and Guards that "Trent is here!" via the Mindshare? Or if he wasn't a Nomad would he have been in league with them as a Human? A Human Helper so to speak? Or was he just a clueless human believing he was helping in a revolution? Thoughts on Mindshare and Nomad 'Human' Helpers - Drake - 01-05-2009 Maybe he was just a normal human who'd been mindraped by the nommies? Though mental communication with and domination of humans doesn't seem to be an ability the nomads have in SP, they can only control people once they climb down their throat (and can presumably telepathically communicate with each other). Thoughts on Mindshare and Nomad 'Human' Helpers - Tenacity - 01-05-2009 the reason the nomads only really infested high-ranking individuals in the nomad war is because their numbers (or the numbers they could get inside our space) were very few - they took control of the ranking officers and government leaders so as to use the influence of those people to control others. You dont need to take control of an entire kingdom, just it's king. I bet most of the rheinlanders 'working' for the nomads didnt even know what was going on, or who they were actually serving. Thoughts on Mindshare and Nomad 'Human' Helpers - MB52 - 01-05-2009 Agreed, most humans did not realize what had happened to their leaders. The nomads were rather sneaky at infiltrating. To the humans they were just serving the same guy they served for 10 years before... Actually, some of the NPC comm chatter is along the lines of "My CO is not the man he once was...something about him has changed"...people have an uncanny nack about noticing things like this... |
