My internet deal is 17 gig a month, which means 11 off peak, 6 on peak
I wanna know how much usage playing disco 24/7 RP server is using when i play.
i am restricted by parents from playing FL on-peak coz they think it uses way to much downloads
but i have barely any off-peak time.
i want to know, FOR SURE how much it uses ( a gig an hour, 14 megabytes a sec for example)

For this month due to an ISP screwup I am too limited, and to 5 gigs only. Anyways I measured it and it took 25 megs an hour.

No no no way. It spends more. As I said, sometimes it spends less, sometimes more. Between 20 and 40 megs
per hour.

Which means that, at 40 megs per hour, if you play 5 hours in a day you've used 200 meg - 5 days per week puts you at 1 Gig - 4 weeks a month at 4 Gig...
My ISP restricts me to 125 Gig per month....

Freelancer is a very non-demanding game when it comes to online connections. I usually have internet radio on, skype, msn and sometimes a download going on and it STILL works perfectly, with some rare Yellow lag.
I use a simple 1mb connection for all of this, with the download chugging away at around 120 - 150 kb/s and 128kb music quality for the radio.
Basically, Freelancer takes up less bandwidth than looking up these forums might sometimes.

Heh, I run FL, Skype, Xfire, MSN, leave the forums up for trading, and have my email auto-checking.
No problems. (the lag at my login is due to my graphics drivers >.>)
