Tag: {XNA}- ID: Xenos ID IFF: Xenos Tech: Xeno and Liberty Civilian Past Long ago, when the Liberty sleeper ship first arrived in Sirius, and first landed on Manhattan, it brought new opportunity. Opportunity to establish a new, free, independent state, away from the chaos that lied in their old home. It was a fresh breath, a chance to begin anew. Time passed, and the space around Manhattan came to be known as the Republic of Liberty. A free state, that encouraged free trade throughout. Constructions were flourishing, the economy was exploding, and the people were living. It was a perfect utopia of prosperity. Then they came along. The Federal Republic of Rheinland, the Kingdom of Bretonia, the Empire of Kusari. They, at the same time, were building their own sectors within Sirius. For a long time, they were separate. Worrying more about themselves than the newly discovered neighbors. More time passed, to the point where each house had built up their armies and their resources. Somehow, Liberty seemed to be able to stay out of affairs. The Ageira corporation, by far the most important in all of Sirius, formed it's roots in 44 A.S. Their research and technology would define Liberty as the strongest of the nations...for a time being. Trade lanes, jump gates, docking rings, all these crucial pieces of hardware were given by Liberty, and should've been only for Liberty. Sadly, in a huge blunder, Ageira gave out and licensed these machines to the other houses. Everyone was on equal footing. 218 A.S. Interspace Commerce is formed: the abomination that began the entanglement of economies. Liberty began to import resources from other houses: silver, gold, aluminum, everything. Sometimes they were way cheaper than to create and farm here in Liberty itself. Obviously, this would have some impact on the local population. This, is where the Xenos all started. In 500 A.S., Truth McCaskey, an engineering worker, was working on the Prototype Gate in Texas. He was just finished with his shift, and headed back to his home in New York. Fortune smiled upon him that day. The following day, he woke up feeling extremely ill. He was not able to go witness the test run of the jump gate in person. So he simply stayed in bed. The jump gate is activated. All seems well. The first phase goes by perfectly fine. The second phase, suffers a catastrophic failure. The jump gate encounters a concentration of dark matter in it's path, and it fed back through the hyperspace, exploding into the Texas system. Half of the system is completely wiped out and covered in dark matter clouds. The jump gate is crushed into a singularity, and radiation floods the system. Houston, the base of operations where Truth's job was, suffered major damage. Most of the planet had to be evacuated, and jobs were lost. When Truth heard news of the incident, he was completely void of emotion. His job which he had for years was taken away from him, and he fell into depression, alone. Truth had to find someone to blame. Perhaps it was sabotage by the Navy? No, not possible. Was there a fault in the program? Agh! No that can't be. He stammered for days upon end, researching the situation. He went through every excuse he could think of, and settled on a single result. Truth believed that the the materials to construct the gate, mostly foreign in origin, were tampered with. Truth started advocating conspiracy to everyone he knew. He blamed the Rheinlanders, he blamed the Bretonians, and he even blamed Interspace Commerce for encouraging foreign trade. He also blamed Ageira for sharing the precious technology with the other Houses, which enabled the importation of foreign goods in the first place. Obviously, nobody believed him. He was considered a whackjob, a nut case, a mental patient. His reputation was completely trashed. He needed a new job though, the money needed to come from somewhere. He tried to find a new job in engineering. Nothing, all the spots are taken by Bretonian scientists. He tried to find a job farming, no dice. Synth Paste and Kyushu Rice were hot on the market. Nothing worked. So without a job, he had to resort to theft. Truth started hijacking transports, threatening convoys, and started making a lucrative profit. He pushed his luck too hard though, as the Liberty Police soon managed to catch him in his hideout. He was arrested and sent to LPI Sugarland. The prisoners there were suffering from the same fate: losing jobs, can't find any others due to foreign replacements or imports. Truth soon made great friends with many of his inmates, and advocated his conspiracies to them, getting them on his side. It worked perfectly. He had dozens of men who were willing to follow him and do what he deemed necessary. They exchanged contact information and served their sentences out, one by one being released back into open space. Once all of his friends were released, Truth called them to meet in the Colorado system in the Silverton Field. Using his engineering work, he was able to work with his inmates to revive the old mining base of Ouray. They fixed the life support and gave it a complete tune-up. This was their new base of operations. From there, they discussed their plans. Destroy all foreign traders and paralyze them in fear to the point where they no longer desire to interact with Liberty. After that, they would begin to research new ways of fabrication to replace the products that Liberty no longer had access to. This way, Liberty would return to the way it once was: independent, free from foreign touch. It would return to the Utopia it once was. People heard of their plans, and joined them. New recruits would come in and pop out. Combined together, they formed one alliance. The Xenos. Present As of now, not much has changed. Few events have occurred. The Alliance has been flying the way it has for years upon years. The only thing different are the people flying the ships. As the original founder died long ago, the leadership is in the hands of Simon Power, one of the most dedicated nationalists the Alliance has ever seen. His abilities in combat are poor, but he can be seen as a true leader for the cause. He always insists on being a complete pacifist to all native Libertonians, which hopefully will persuade the unsure that we are fighting for Liberty, not against it. Future The Xenos have two goals to reach in the future, whether far or near. One, the Alliance must end all foreign shipping coming in or out of Liberty. This means destroying foreign company transports, and foreign independent transports. Alongside that, they must convince any shipping corporations within Liberty to cease all trade with the other Houses. Second, the Alliance must, with what few resources they have, research and develop new ways to sustain Liberty without the intervention of other houses. This means finding ways to synthesize and fabricate precious metals and resources, and encouraging the growth of agriculture on the few planets that support it. But what about afterwards? What if these plans are met? What if Liberty truly becomes the independent nation it once was? Well, the Xenos would still be around. Someone would have to stay around to mop up any smugglers that dare crawl into Liberty space. If the LPI won't do it, then Xenos would. Either way, both objectives together form one main goal: "Supporting self-dependence for Liberty." Objectives

In all seriousness, I've been wanting to see Xenos around for Ages - this is wonderful - the faction has so much untapped potential. Let me know is you ever want to do RP/Pews/whatever with the Unioners - Bering is supposed to be a minor warzone between Xenos and Unioners, unfortunately, it can't be without Xenos around.
