A problem downloading the Freelancer game - Fish - 08-23-2017
Friend of mine wants in on the mod, however the website listed in the installation thread throws out a "download limit reached" error.
Is there an alternative download?

That site should take you over to another where the file is hosted for download, and it works for me. did you get kicked to firedrop?
I might some day upload the FL installer to my mediafire and share it. i dunno how fast il upload on wireless dsl, maybe do it while im sleeping

Could be your Ip has tryed to download it already but didnt finish or it got stopped in the middle of downloading.. as i just did that and gave that very message.. might have to wait abit. no idea how long.

Welp i got it uploaded to mediafire took forever but heres a Copy of Freelancer same one from firedrop
Admin/mod could you add a second link to install thread? just as a back up

There is up to 5 downloads in hour limit on The ISO zone for free users. It counts 5 downloads regardles if you start download, finish them or just click then cancel download.
All he have to do is refresh Page after 5 downloads and after hour he can download again.

Problem with all those mediafire, mega and similar storage sites is they really dont care what people upload, so they have taken down by DMCA very frequently, which couse lost of all data on them.

The link i posted "Copy of Freelancer" is what i downloaded from Firedrop/iso zone and reuploaded to my very own mediafire. if it gets deleted due to copyright so be it but atleast i feel good about sharing it, and after i been with Mediafire since its alpha days id hope they look the other way. but who knows.
