Hi
i was just wondering if jump drives can be fitted to the civilian explorer? Or just large ships like battleships and the like?

No, it can't. Jump Drives require immense amounts of power which is only provided by Battlecruisers, Carriers, Battleships and the Bustard.

The smallest Jump Drive starts at a Battlecruiser powercore requirement (3600000).
The Mk IV needs a Light Battleship powercore (7000000)
