Looking for a ship - Bomarck - 01-22-2009
Ive been thinking up an idea and I need some suggestion for my main characters command ship. So basically I need something that could function as a light carrier and sort of look the part. It doesn't need to be the most deadly ship out there due to it mostly going to be a RP carrier where I am going to to base me and friends fighters from but it should be able to deter a light attack. So, any suggestions.
Edit: Will probably play as a Freelancer or merc

well, depends on what you're gonna role play as, where you're going to be and what you're going to be doing.
but, i would also wait until the mod update comes out before you waste your credits on a very large vessel such as a cruiser.

I'd say wait. Everything depends on the new models in 4.85, as well as the faction your character belongs to.
If you want something now, and dont want to spend a lot... I'd honestly say get a Mining Ship. It's only like 18-19 million credits, is very large, has a lot of turrets, and looks enough like a carrier-capable ship to fill that role... plus it can be used by almost anyone.

Yes, tried the mining ship already. Ten minutes later and I wanted to try landing it the hard way on a planet, the noise tends to get to you.

hmm, i RP my outcast dessie's hangar to being capable of carrying a sabre with folded wings and smaller ships, it has 2 slots, one filled with my old sabre the.protagonist and the other i RP as a delivery bay for paperwork
you could use a luxury liner, it has a docking port like on stationary
liners, use a prison liner or other liner with more hull capacity.
