According to this statement from Sherry Aguilar, on behalf of Apahanta Commandant Ezrael Vertiga, we have audio-visual confirmation of the origin of the nuclear weapons used in the engagement. My name is Sherry Aguilar, second-in-command of Battleship Apahanta. On behalf of Captain Ezrael Vertiga I will share our information on Nuclear Electro-Magnetic-Pulse weaponry, short NEMP.

NEMP weaponry is a rather old technology which was abandoned in its forms both to minimize severe environmental damage and because of the in comparison with more common weapon technologies rather incredible resource requirements for the production for just one warhead. However, those will deal a heavy blow. This technology was reinvented for space-borne combat at the end of 823. In mentioned specific instance, the NEMP warhead was launched by Forlorn Hope Knight Captain Nick Stenn to aid in combat against the attacking forces of Order, PRIME and Corsairs against Freeport 11 and Port Carthage.

Since the NEMP technology is known for probably a thousand years or more, it is not difficult for organized groups to create their own NEMP weaponry. Theoretically such warheads could be produced on space stations and battleships as well. Anything that has enough space for a small facility. Nuclear technology is used in many ways in modern space ships, especially in Rheinland and partially in Bretonia, and the Gas Miners Guild are known exporters for large amounts of Plutonium won in the Okinawa system. This means accessing the resources required for the production of NEMP warheads are mostly unregulated, which Kusari being one exception here as they do not allow transports without a license to carry Plutonium through their space.
